New hairstyles including a bald option, as well. Those reactions look sweet, especially that sit down one. Can't wait to try that and just soak in the sunset on the beach. I do think Halesowen will need a bit of reconstruction if more events are going to clutter the plaza as much as Turkey Day looks to. I'll get to across the next few days for sure.

Yay!  .

I was donning the samurai hairstyle as that had the bald top but, alas, a pony tail too. I will now return to Animal Crossing because it has become more inclusive :toot: .

the update looks good

OrangeRKN wrote:I just looked it up in case there was any trick to get more, apparently one spawns every 5 minutes when the minute ends with a 4 or 9, and the balloons will always come from the same direction each day and change direction after sunset. Event balloons spawn differently though, and possibly they might be the ones that drop the recipes...

well ive been doing the balloons wrong

Up until today I had assumed they were just random

A week or so ago I had two balloons literally next to each other, so I guess one of them must have been an "event" balloon or something. Regardless it's useful to know that if you spot one coming in from one direction, they all should do the same for the day!

Sometimes, at night , I stand on my pier and wait to see if I have a balloon coming when I'm bored. During the day I cant be bothered to stand by the lighthouse and do the same

Also I've been dying to sit next to my villagers when they're on the floor! So happy they've put this in game!

But where is Brewster? I want my coffee damn it!

By the end of the day on November 18, 2020, an update will be available for Animal Crossing: New Horizons that includes two new features to transfer save data between two Nintendo Switch systems. This page will be updated once these features become available.

Entire Island Transfer
Use this feature if you wish to transfer the entire island and all residents to a new Nintendo Switch system. The island, all progress and customizations, your animal neighbors, the island resident representative, and any other residents that have been created on the island will be transferred.

This feature is helpful if you are replacing your Nintendo Switch system with a new one and all players who have played Animal Crossing: New Horizons will be using the new Nintendo Switch system. It is also the only way to transfer your island resident representative when you have not backed up your island.

You must have access to both the original system and the new system to use this feature.

Resident Move (Single Player Transfer)
Use this feature if you wish to transfer just one resident to a new Nintendo Switch system. The resident, the resident’s home, and most items held by the resident and kept in storage will be transferred to an island on the new Nintendo Switch system. The island resident representative cannot be transferred.

This feature is helpful when just one player wants to continue playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons on a new Nintendo Switch or when multiple residents other than the island resident representative will be using the new Nintendo Switch. The transferred player(s) will move to a new island if there is no existing save data on the new system. If there is already an island populated on the new system, the resident(s) will move to that island. All island progress and animal neighbors will remain on the original Nintendo Switch system.

You must have access to both the original system and the new system to use this feature.

The potential of the resident move is huge for trading items in bulk. Make a new resident, load them up with everything you want to trade, then transfer them over. Recipient grabs all their stuff then deletes them.

Wait and see what "most items held" means - if it includes fish and bugs, there will finally be a way of trading them.

Winter looks absolutely lovely

I logged back in today for first time in months and the autumn colours really don't suit my island's aesthetic. Need the winter update!

Just noticed expanded house storage if you've paid your debt off. Finally a decent reason to do so.

Man, birthdays in New Horizons are so goddamn wholesome.

The next update, like the one before, is bitter sweet - winter looks delightful, but there's still a Brewster shaped void waiting to be filled along with the return of gyroids. Where are the gyroids!?

I really hope Brewster and his gyroid obsession come back into it before they stop updates for it, no idea how long they’re going to provide updates for it mind.

Edit, turnip price of 337 tonight on the off chance anyone has any to sell, I’ll open gates if anyone needs to sell.

In New Leaf my museum had a room full to the brim with gyroids. I'm really hoping they make a comeback. I'd love a choir of gyroids on the island!

i was never that bothered with gyroids, though i did like the brewster themed ones you got for working in the coffee shop.

The problem with adding a new building/shop now is that I'd have to redesign my island to make space for it!
