Leif sells you the "starts" like the pumpkin ones or you can take tomatoes, potatoes and stuff from islands that Kapp'n takes you to. Yesterday he took me to an island full of tomatoes, right after I'd bought tomato starts from leif :lol:

Gyroid parts you bury and then water, then dig up the next day for a full gyroid. The hole should smoke after you've watered it so you can tell it apart from fossil holes.

Q: my son updated the game the other day but nothing seems to have changed. He still doesn't have KK on his island yet. Is this a threshold that needs to be passed? We went to Harv's island and it's still decked out in the porn studio garb.

To get KK you need to get your island up to 3 stars, ask Isabelle for an island evaluation , I don't think none of the new stuff like Kappn etc will come till your at 3 stars.

Getting back into this. Clearing up my island a bit. Getting rid of the dump in place of a farm and cleared flower patches and other dumping grounds. Still like my not overly manicured look so nothing major.

after designing a home i decided it was time to take a break but i was distracted when lottie asked me if i wanted to continue and i instinctively chose the second option which is usually the option to quit rather than continue in most video games. sadly it was time to build a facility and there was no backing out once you had selected it, you had to pick one or the other with no chance of a "ive changed my mind" option and then the only way to get out of it was to quit the game completely, which is what i was trying to do. but it meant than when i came back i had to finish off the deign regardless of what i wanted to do or if i had selected the wrong option creating a sense that the game was forcing me to live with a slight mistake. that was quite irritating and my attempts to cool off by going fishing were met with tin cans and old tires as if the game were laughing at me.
