it doesnt work if theyre the same size

Rolling along a path will reduce the size of the snowball as rolling over anything other than snow makes them smaller

Yup, and 10 tiles makes it just the right size for the head

Some of us don’t have paths

You can just make a temporary one

Some of us don’t need em

Great tip for the snowman! I seem to be getting worse at building them. :slol:

Had my second trip to Kappn's stardust island tonight. Picked myself up a gold wand recipe and 19 assorted star fragments. On top of that, I've been wishing on stars for 10 minutes straight, so I should find a nice scattering at home tomorrow.

I'm thinking of building all of the star signed themed stuff for my main room, though I suspect the gold requirements may cause me issues.

The silly neighbourhood vegetable.

Dear Fuckwit,

Thank you very much for your reply.

That save from the 31st December was the last save that was available for your old console (XJE7000*****), and unfortunately we do not save every single backup and that is the only save that is available. You also have a newer save on the OLED switch dating 6th of January. But the 31st december is the oldest save available on your account.
I am sorry that it is not the correct backup. If you have any other questions do not hesitate in reaching us out.

Kind regards,

Alexander
Your Nintendo Contact Centre Europe Team.

There we go. I'm strawberry floated.

That's very unfortunate. Sorry to hear it. Do you have the heart to play a new save?

Really does seem ridiculous that not only do they demand you use a separate backup from cloud saves for this singular game, but that they also aren't backing everything up. Apparently, anyway.

I'll start again. I'll do things better this time.
I didn't landscape much last time so I'll improve that.

Yeah that sucks. Starting a new island probably wasn't the best move as it's understandable they only keep the most recent backups, but that's hindsight for you! Don't think I could stomach restarting the game - I don't even think I could stomach starting a new Animal Crossing game

I've actually stopped playing this daily now (mainly because of real life commitments), playing a few times a week as I close in on the ending of Happy Home Paradise and making sure to get KK on Saturdays (my last stamp! Still like 16 more weeks to go  ). I'm still collecting some (mainly food) recipes and haven't yet got all the gyroids, and checking for calendar special items on nook shopping, and I need to collect all the purification rewards (it's a bit of a chore to go to Harv's Island to roll once hoping for a bad fortune), and I definitely still need a lot more gold to finish crafting everything (not sure I'll get there because it's too rare!).

When I have the final stamp that's when I've always said I'll consider the game complete (along with a full museum which I have), I'm confident I'll have finished Happy Home Paradise before then and hopefully have collected all the gyroids too - I have lots of dupes actually, maybe we could set up some trades?

I think if I lost my save I wouldn't have the motivation to start it again, I’ve loved playing New Horizons but I don’t think I could justify spending the time again to myself! Shame to hear about that as well Mommy :( I thought the backup from the 31st would be the right one for you? That’d be the last one from before you sold your old Switch wouldn’t it?

The only benefit I can think that starting afresh would be is that you know what the later stages of the game will be like, you can place buildings better in the knowledge that moving them a matter of squares later is a bit of a pain and so on, I still would struggle to find the motivation though

Edit, bought another genuine detailed painting, lets see if this one actually shows up in my letter box, last time I bought one it just vanished into thin air

I don't think I can bring myself to complete all the Nook Miles goals... :dread: Funnily enough, I'll likely get the last stamp for 'Nook Miles for Miles' before many others - including catching fish, crafting furniture and (possibly) K.K. Slider performances, depending how far it stretches beyond the 60 mark.

As for gyroids, I too have loads of spares and did make a list of dupes a few pages back. A proper in-person exchange would be better though.

I have a couple of spare arfoids if anyone wants them. I'll have to load up the game to see what else I have, I think I have a few stellaroids going spare too.

I finally got an arfoid about a week back. I love the little critter. Might move it to west plaza from where it currently is.

Think I’m down to the final 5 pieces of art after my detailed painting arrived today :toot: The artwork has been such a slog though :dread:

I don’t know how much motivation I’ll have to play loads more of this once I’ve finished the museum and the happy home paradise DLC (which I’ve stalled on, need to have a day where I just smash out loads of houses for the critters)
