Anthem (XB1/PC/PS4) - Anthem NEXT cancelled

I've just tried again and I'm still completely unable to get any further than the opening screen with the word Anthem on it.
I've not even seen a loading bar yet :slol:

This was exactly my experience with the first 4 hours of the alpha. I assumee the problem was because it was a stress test but if they still haven't fixed it... well.

Don't worry. This won't be a problem at launch.

Yeah, i'll be skipping this on release. I got to play through the 3 missions and dabbled with the freeplay option with the unlocked Storm Javelin.
I just thought it was a bit dull to be honest. From the voice acting, combat, enemy mobs, and environment, I was just underwhelmed!
The graphics took a (predictable) downgrade from the E3 presentation too (playing on ultra settings on PC) and there was noticeable connection issues and bugs throughout.
Looks like my big Febuary game hopes is going to be Metro: Exodus and Rage 2.
Shame.

I fear for the future of BioWare with this release. I blame everyone who told them they made excellent combat in their games. This is your fault.

I think Microsoft will end up buying Bioware and we will get a new KOTOR if this bombs.

I'm still looking forward to trying it next weekend, if it's good I'll get it after reviews are out. I was going to pre order regardless but EA might end up ruining it.

Wouldn't EA also need to lose the Star Wars license for MS to make KOTOR with Bioware?

If you pre-order to play the demo on PS4 presumably you can cancel the pre-order as soon as it ends?

Yeah I think so. Only bad thing is PS store now takes the money as soon as you pre order.

Well yeah, KOTOR is nothing but a pipe dream.

I’m not even sure how much of what made BioWare, BioWare is left anymore.

Open Beta will be opening at 5pm this evening. I will give it a go tonight.

You can download the Open Demo now with the Servers going Live at 5pm.

And towards finished the demo and the raid.

Enjoyable stuff. Been kicked out once but smooth apart from that.

It's a weird old game. Bit diablo, bit destiny, but halo, bit odd.

Not sure if I like it. I have 60 in psn credit ready to buy it but I'm not sure now.

Unlocked the Colossus. Hopefully that spices things up.

I have finished the demo but all it feels similar to Destiny. I’m not sure if it’s worth to buy the full game just yet and there is better game to buy such as The Division 2.

I think I will wait and see how the reviews turns out.

So much potential in the first.

And it's crashed again during the closing stages of a stronghold. Bullet sponge enemies and some of the worst flying ever. It's really weird as it has nothing to do with the gunplay, fly to area X kill enemies, fly somewhere else.

Glad I played it as I would have bought it based on gameplay I've watched.

Very weird game and one that has no reason to pull anyone in. I feel that Anthem will have huge fallout for EA and Bioware.
