Okay but realistically you cannot pick and choose what loot you get, so if you drop next to someone of a similar skill and they get a better gun or a Sheild, you are dead, and that doesn't feel very good.

You can't pick and choose loot but you can improve your chances by landing in the hot zones or drop ship. If you're landing in remote areas and only picking up average gear that's what you have to deal with

That's literally just another dice roll though since so many people drop in those areas. You can't keep track of the position of 3 different teams at once, it's often luck whether you come out alive or not.

Ah sorry! Are you joining my games only for nothing to happen? In a flatshare atm and the PS4 is our media player, so when the flatmates have designs on the TV I'll just press the PS button while it's on the main screen. Basically if I don't react within 30 seconds gtfo.

Haha, I'm on PS4 so just skipped that.

Just installed this on PC. Wish I hadn't stopped playing FPS games for 5 years....

Pathfinder is absolutely useless. Not one of his special moves has any realistic use in the middle of a battle.

Manys the time I've escaped from a firefight with his grapple, or allowed our squad to join one with his zipline.

But you can only grapple things from about five metres away? How can you possibly escape using it?

It has a huge amount of momentum to its swing. If you plug it correctly it can launch you quite the distance.

Yeah I worked that out after I catapulted myself off the map once.

Quite happy I won in my first game with pathfinder in a very strange game and haven’t touched him since. Although seeing the ring can give you all kinds of advantages.

Talking of strange games played a random one (for my sins) last night and one of team mates cleared off of the drop after 90 seconds with loot still everywhere. I still had my microphone on from playing in a pre made so politely suggested we stuck together in the vain hope someone would listen, last thing expected was for him to plug his mic and reply saying me and the other guy were “slow as gooseberry fool” and he was “after killz bro”....

So that kicked offed a five minute heated discussion on the fundamentals of battle royal tactics, in which he declared all of the remaining loot in our drop (airbase) useless garbage, too which I had to in turn enquire how on earth he knew given he couldn’t see any of it as he was nearly in the market.

Anyway I left it after he did manage to wipe an entire squad and he have to revive me after an ambush so whilst I maintain I was right he sort of had the morale high ground, anyway we’d managed to catch him up and i managed to wipe an entire team myself in bunker after which he seemed much more willing to listen to me.

Anyway by the time we’d got to bridges it was like we’d been playing together for years, not had coordination like that with the lads I play with regularly. We totally dominated the game causing damage left right and centre we won the game barely taking a scratch with 16 squad kills, mental, I went to add him at the end until he started crowing about how many “kills” he’d got, then a little voice in my head reminded me he was actually a bit of a twat.
