I’m thinking about getting a MacBook. I’m tempted to buy used given the price. Does anyone have any experience buying used and any tips I should look out for? Budget perhaps 300-400

Not particularly current but I bought a used Macbook Air a while ago. It worked like a dream for a couple of months then nothing but problems. I was back and forwards to the Apple shop until I decided to just cut my losses and resell it on ebay. I got a pretty good price for it considering it wasn't working. I'm likely to be an outlier though and I'd assume most other people don't have the issues I did.
