I got a "Caseology parallax" case last year and it's pretty good. First time not buying an Apple case. It even came with a couple of high quality glass screen protectors which I usually don't bother with.

Holding the case in my hand to get a feel for how big the phone itself is.

Aye, it’s gigantic. Almost like an entire PS Vita. I might buy one of those Xbox pad clip-on things, actually because it would surely be great for the Arcade games and/or any cloud and streaming stuff.

Anyone any recommendations?

I'm waiting on the Backbone One controller. It seems to get the best reviews for iPhone functionality for gaming.

I’ve seen those Switch-like things like that and the Razer Kishi but tbh while they do look good I don’t like the idea of the mechanical stress on either the controller or phone from me inadvertently applying some pressure when playing a game.

iOS tends to do some re-indexing in the background after major updates, so could be that. Or, could be that you’re using it more to look at the new features. Give it a few days and see if it normalises.

Anyone get a new phone today? Currently sporting a 13 Pro, silver, with a 1Tb of storage. Much prefer this size over the 12 Pro Max, too big for my hands.

By the way, I recommend doing a direct transfer from phone to phone, either over a lighting to usb-a adapter + lightning cable, or over Wi-Fi. It’ll transfer over all your login credentials, so you should find most apps pick up where they left off.
I transferred around 200Gb from one phone in around an hour.
If you do an iCloud restore you’ll likely find apps logged out.

I have to do an iCloud restore, didn’t have time to do the device-to-device one in store before trading in my XS Max.

Just playing around with it now, the difference between 60 and 120hz is huge, everything looks so smooth

Had a look at the cases, decided to stick with the Dark Cherry for now, the Midnight one looks too black. When my trade-in credit comes through I think I’ll just get an Abyss Blue silicone one too.

The screen is magnificent. The phone was initially ginormous but now it’s just a really nice kind of big. Plenty of space. Still really thick and solid feeling though. Honestly feel like if anyone tried to mug me to get it I could literally knock them out with it.

Transfer was mostly painless, just some 2FA and banking logins didn’t make it, so it was a good thing I checked before wiping the 11 Pro. Would’ve been locked out of some apps permanently.

I'm hoping they put out a software update as the home screen scaling seems a bit out. Lots of unused space around the apps and widgets.

If you go into Settings > Home Screen & Dock you can choose to make the icons larger (I think this should be the default setting on the mini anyway). Makes it look a bit better.
