You can easily get more than a day or two out of it on a full charge. Sleep tracking will probably use around 15% overnight since it's regularly reading your plus and tracking movement but it charges quick compared to a phone. I think a lot of the people complaining about battery life were buying there first smartwatch and weren't used to having a watch battery run out.

No problems with Safari on my M1 MBA, though there are definitely problems similar to this reported online. Hopefully an update will sort it soon.

Finally decided on my phone - 13 Mini, 256GB in red. And it’s the only version of the Mini that I can’t find stock for. I was going to go cheap with the SE, but figured it wasn’t wise to skimp if I end up keeping this one as long as the 6. So it was between the regular 13 and the Mini. Despite the regular phone’s larger screen and battery, its size is otherwise all negative for me, from reaching the far edges of the screen and being a greater drop risk, to being uncomfortable to pocket. The Mini is smaller than my 6 but has a larger screen, so it’s an all-round win. I just need to get one before the watches go on sale.

Good call on the Mini. It's crazy to think how big phones have become over the last 10 years. The 13 Mini is still noticeably bigger than the 4S for example.

I really like the Starlight colour but cannot justify upgrading just now seeing as I've only had my 12 for about 7 months.

Starlight is my second choice, so if I can’t get the red soon, I’ll go for that instead.

I do get the appeal of the larger screens, especially if it’s going to be a main device, but since I’m working from home I’ve always got the iPad handy and the phone is just for portable use, so the Mini makes more practical sense.

Thanks all for the watch strap relies. I’ve got a suspicion that I might find the silicone ones a bit clammy. I guess the best thing is to try some on in-store, if they still allow you to do that.

Battery life on my series 5 is brilliant. I’ll put it on at about 7am, and by the time I take it off at 7pm it’ll be at about 45%. I then stick it on charge and sometimes put it back on for sleep tracking which will be fully charged by then.

That’s not bad then, looking on the page it mentions Fitness +, is this actually needed or just gives extras to those wanting to pay £10 a month for it?

Fitness+ is quite well done. High production values, great choice of workouts, great integration of watch on screen. It’ll mostly boil down to whether you want to exercise in front of a screen at home. If you do, this is a good option.

And you get three months free when you buy a watch, which should be enough time to decide if you want it.

Still no kettlebell exercises on Fitness+ :x The bike exercises are fun though, the trainers are quite entertaining

I think it only mentioned a month when I was looking at it earlier, may as well sign up for the free period regardless and assess it from there, I take it it’s not a must have though and you can use all the features of the Watch without it?

Nice. Let us know how you get on with it. I went iPhone 3G -> Android for about 10 years or so -> iPhone 12 and it was quite the experience

Red or starlight?

Managed to get the red one. Because my iPhone 6 is so old it’s still on iOS 12, so I’ve got a lot of new features to get used to, as well as the loss of the home button.

Gone from a 11 Pro Max to a 13 mini. Kinda enjoying it, the size was a huge adjustment at first but feels like my old IPhone4/5 again

Oh yeah, I loved the iPhone 4 - both the size and the flat-edged design, which I’m glad has returned.

Gotta say, I prefer the rounded edges of the iPhone X - 11.

I've been considering an iPad for a few weeks now and would be keen to use it for sidecar, watching video and maybe dabbling in a bit of iPad pencil action.I know it's only compatible with the first gen pencil and wondered if anyone here had any experience with it?

The "rain starting soon" push notifications in the new weather app are great.

Do you have to tip the Domino's guy extra if it's raining?
