I was considering buying an Ipad..and had a look at the prices.

A normal one is 340 and a 'pro' is more than double of that?

How much better can it possibly be? I'd be getting a wi-fi only one and mainly just want it as a lightweight computer and netflix watching device. A very good battery life is essential for long flight but jeez...it seems a lot more?

Can anyone offer any feedback, on the two devices and tell me why one is so much more than the other? Would it just be worth buying the android equivalent?

The pro has double the ram and the screen is better. It uses the A9x chip compared to the A9 found in the normal version.

The camera is better on the pro. But only dicks take pictures with tablets. So really more speed, better camera and better display.

Picked up a MacBook Pro and everything seems pretty intuitive so far but I'm guessing there will be some handy shortcuts worth knowing.

It's really easy to get a hang of things, first thing you'll want are the keyboard shortcuts. Haven't used Windows in a while but when I did it felt much more user friendly than that and I can't seem myself ever going back to a Windows machine for personal use.

What MacBook did you get? I was thinking about upgrading soon from my 2013 Air but looked at the prices of the newest ones and forgot how much they bumped the price up when they came out :dread:

Any examples?

I did a bit of research and went for the 13' MacBook Pro without touchbar in space grey. It is beautiful. It was pricey but only a couple of hundred quid more than the competition and should still be worth something in 2-3 years.

Keyboard shortcuts are more or less the same as Windows, other than macs use Command instead of Control.
So, Command + A: select all
Command + S: save
Command + N: new
Etc…
Best thing to do is look in the menu bar and it’ll tell you the shortcut right there and then.
One of my favourites for finding things, launching apps, checking the weather, doing calculations or currency conversions is Spotlight. You can click the icon in the top right corner but personally I prefer to hit Command + Spacebar and it brings the window straight up.

I was looking at the price of refurbished ones and you can get a 2017 13inch touch bar one for around the same price as a new one without the touch bar. Not sure how much of a difference it makes or if there's a lot of developer support for it.

Can’t get over how munchie the haptic touch is. Feels so good. I sometimes just mess around with my phone just to feel it caress me. :datass:

I couldn't see any reason to get it but I'm not a good example as I seem to be using less and less new features on phones and computers.

Anyone else getting shocking battery performance on iOS 11.0.3? It's like my phone has a terminal illness :(

Also when in youtube and turning my screen to landscape to go full screen it often doesn't work properly and just puts the image in landscape but squished to one side of the display, so annoying.

I might write Steve Jobs a letter of complaint.

Main thing I've noticed is lock screen controls sometimes not appearing or not working properly and needing a reboot to sort it.

Can't be long till iOS 11.1 is out. Presumably they'll want that out before Friday.

I've had the same problem on my ipad with youtube on 11.0.2. I hate the new layout, feel like the update's really slowed the device down and made it more unwieldy to use.

Guys I'm looking to buy a 'battery case' for my iPhone 6 plus, who develops the best ones? I'm willing to pay a bit of money for a case that's both sturdy and has the most 'reserved charge'

Is this reasonable?
