Not particularly current but I bought a used Macbook Air a while ago. It worked like a dream for a couple of months then nothing but problems. I was back and forwards to the Apple shop until I decided to just cut my losses and resell it on ebay. I got a pretty good price for it considering it wasn't working. I'm likely to be an outlier though and I'd assume most other people don't have the issues I did.

Yeah, thanks both. I’ll sit tight until I can afford an 1 air. If I had the space in my flat I’d be all over the Mac mini.

Had my iphone 12 for a few weeks now and I'm really impressed with it. One thing I thought i'd ask other iphone users on here to check... if youre in an app with a dark screen and you swipe the home bar to go back to your menu do you notice the corners of the iphone momentarily turn white? Not sure if its an animation or if there's an issue with my screen.

I don’t have an iPhone 12 (I have a iPhone 11 Pro Max) but no mine doesn’t have any white in the corners, I have read a few people having issues with the auto brightness setting on the iPhone 12

Thanks for checking Richard. Can I ask if you had dark mode on and that you were swiping the home bar when you were in an app where the screen was dark so as to see the flash of white in all 4 corners?

Edit: think I worked it out. It’s an animation, obviously but it appears to give a glimpse of the wallpaper before it goes back to it. I changed to a black wallpaper and can’t see the “white corners” any more.

Assume this is part of iOS.

Really enjoying how modular the accessories for iPad are now. Get a Logitech Bluetooth keyboard and mouse and it turns the thing into a full on computer. Now I have buyers remorse for getting the Apple Pencil but only because I never use it, but I can tell in the hands of an actual artist it would be good.

Aye when I was without my MacBook for two weeks I still had my Magic Trackpad and Keyboard that I could use with my iPad Air and it's surprising how similar it was to just using a laptop.

Any chance that the new iPad Pro(s) announced this month might push the price of the Air down?

I bought an Apple Pencil too when I got my iPad back in November 2018, except for the odd doodle I’ve rarely used it, as you said in the right hands it’s probably a fantastic addition to the iPad line.

Are new iPad Pro’s meant to be announced soon? I think when I next upgrade my iPad I’ll probably opt for an Air if the line is still the same as now (Mini, iPad, Air & Pro) as I use it a hell of a lot for nearly everything but at the same time I just couldn’t justify the price of a Pro, however good they look.

The rumours I've seen are of at least one iPad Pro with a mini-LED screen to be announced in March.

The Air just came out four months ago so I can't see the price going down.

Apple rarely reduce the price of their stuff until an upgrade comes out anyway and even then it’s hit or miss from what I recall. Mainly seems to be older generations of phones that get a price cut when the new model comes out.

It’s iPad minis I’ve seen rumoured. And even then it’s just off the fact that they’re the oldest without a refresh.

It got a big update with the same body shape as the iPad Pro, USB-C instead of Lightning and Pencil 2 support, as well as the newest version of their A16 processor. It's probably one of the best updates Apple have done to one of their products in years. It was definitely a giant upgrade going from my iPad 4 to that.

Yeah the most recent iPad Air was the best update I’ve seen from them in a while.

Got a new MacBook Air and oh my god I absolutely love it. Annoyed it's taken me this long to switch from Windows but it's great.

Is it the M1 Apple Silicon variant?

Worry not - Apple Silicon is what sold me on getting one :datass:

They’re amazing little machines.
