I currently have a bizarre flaw with my iPad Air 2. It’s locked to the web browser. That works but I can’t type with the keyboard (it doesn’t show up), the home button doesn’t work so I can’t get back to the app screen, and it won’t power off.

Only solution appears to be to let the battery drain.

Have you tried ringing support? I’ve always found them very helpful.

I paid using Apple Pay on my watch today, it felt good 8-)

is it limited to £30 like normal card contactless? its just I know on my iPhone X its a £250 limit if the retailer has full Apple Pay support (I assume thats the limit the most I have paid that way was £235), I still have to explain it 9/10 at Wickes when they try and tell me it won't work

Is guided access turned on? Usually you triple click to activate/deactivate it.
If the button physically doesn’t work, swipe up with four fingers to go to the home screen. Or, swipe up from the button to get to multitasking.

It’s up to the retailer. Most places that take Apple Pay can take over £30, although most shop staff don’t realise this. I’ve paid thousands on Apple Pay in one transaction before.

I suppose it may depend on the bank as well? I had my daily cash withdrawal limit raised

Sometimes the reader won't even let you try, it just "helpfully" doesn't enable contactless if it's over £30.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

Theres not a limit anymore at Morrisons. Says so on the sticker on the reader at the self scans.

Got a really irritating issue with playing audio on my iPhone 6. Every now and then (whether I'm listening to something with headphones or just out of the phone speaker, online or offline, music or podcast) the audio will either completely stop for a couple of seconds or become super choppy and fragmented. It'll carry on being gooseberry fool for a few seconds and then return to normal, only to go back to being choppy at seemingly random intervals.

Software is up to date (iOS 11.4) and I've done all the usual restarts, closing all apps etc, but still the issue persists.

Anyone else had this problem?

Glad to see the cheaper version is following the buttonless/notch design of the iPhone X, the traditional design is certainly looking dated compared to Samsung/Huawei "budget" handsets.

I was in the Apple store last week, getting my phone battery swapped for cheap, and I had a good look at the huge-screen iPads for the first time. I really want one now, but I think the iPad Pro is due an upgrade, so I'm just holding out to see what gets announced.

There's an bezel-less iPad Pro coming this year apparently.

New iPad Pro is rumoured to have thinner bezels and use USB-C instead of Lightning ports.

I’m looking forward to iOS 12 more than any of the new announcements. I wouldn’t mind one of those AirPower wireless chargers that they announced more than a year ago(!) and I might be tempted by AirPods if they did a “space grey” version.

Yeah, AirPods are another thing I've been hanging back on, as an update seems inevitable.

I'm still on iPhone 6, and don't feel much need to upgrade, so they'll have to announce something pretty stunning to tempt me. But I guess my phone will soon no longer be supported with new iOS versions.

I have an iPhone 7 and can’t see myself being tempted into an upgrade this year.

I’ll probably have to do it next year though so am keeping half an eye on what improvements they make to this years model.
