That was just extra flavour I added partway through. I was upset by the death of Ana, so I decided that (after the game has finished) awards would be given to any Bourreaux who took the head of FFs who had killed those with esteemed righteousness.

I'm a bit gutted the esteemed righteousness didn't quite develop as far as I hoped it would. They only unlocked one of the three powers and it took them so long to get the first one it had been rendered obsolete by then :(.

Tbf the odds of them trying to target a FF was 1 in 3 from the off so they were up against it.

I do think the idea of having 5 and 7 living members survive in any reasonable capacity was incredibly unlikely but I appreciate the optimism you had for Bakeforce's success.

7 was definitely a stretch, hence the extent of the power it granted.

There was a secret event set up for 6 as well, unknown by the Founding Father, which would have caused chaos :slol: shame.

I think there’s a game somewhere in the good and bad side both being uninformed and building power as they play, was thinking as we went through

I had an idea for a forum game where all players would be assigned to one of a number of nation states, together with a role. The main thread would serve as a United Nations, where the leadership rotated and each state would have it's own set of objectives and would need to push for the international laws which would help them to achieve their secret win scenario.

Each player would have their own set of available actions, unlocked in some form of tree format and would take a certain number of turns (something like 6 hours per turn) to unlock new abilities within their tree, which would help their team on their way to world domination. Teams would be able to focus on a variety of things, such as economic, military or scientific advantage in private and decide how to play the game.

In my head, it would gradually escalate to all out nuclear war (maybe not the best theme in the current world climate). Ultimately, I don't think I have the time nor skill to think it through in the level of detail needed, but certainly there is huge scope for tweaks to the format to keep the games entertaining and fresh, though I have to say I have thoroughly enjoyed all games I've played, though not so much the one before this where I was first to be killed! Certainly using the 'tree' format to give all players something to work on independently could work in the AYA format, though god forbid being the person who has to try to balance everything out...

Sounds a bit like a megagame called: Watch The Skies! Which I have always wondered if it would translate well to a forum game type of format.

Watch the Skies is like a day event where there are 60 people essentially playing the same board game in 12 teams of 4 people running one of the countries in the world. The catch is that there are a team of players who are playing as an alien faction with unknown motivations and the game is about managing your country/factions interests during an XCOM style of invasion with each turn taking around 30 minutes to play out.

I'm probably butchering the pitch but Shut Up and Sit Down's YouTube channel has a great video of them taking part in a game of Watch the Skies which I'd reccomend for anyone who may be interested.

Check out my YouTube channel!
One man should not have this much power in this game. Luckily I'm not an ordinary man.

Don't read if you're still in the dark:

Rather spoils the mystery doesn't it .

Still, if Hugo is clever enough, he should read that for what it is...

It's an attempt at a bluff by Morgan - cast himself as innocent but out of his depth and just put up that small bit of doubt in Hugo's mind. It's not going to work, but it's a stab in the dark that may make Hugo just that little more anxious when putting his vote in today.

Looking forward the conclusion!

I was thinking that, will Hugo realise Morgan can not have been paying any attention to the game and so is probably the last villager. If Morgan was the FF he would seem to have a difficult job of convincing Hugo so playing dumb could actually have been the best strategy

Only skimmed the video as working, but had a read of the different roles in the game online. The fact that there are 10 players cast as gamesmasters to run the thing suggest that there is no way on earth that anything similar could work as a forum game! It looks absolutely bonkers and I imagine finding enough people to actually play the thing would be as hard as understanding the rules!

If I was Jodie now, I'd be tempted to post something in French to make it look like I was a freedom fighter and then leave it until about 5pm to kill Morgan and reveal it to be a joke. :slol:

I'd put good money on Staydead not having slept a wink all night. Not one wink.
And his bedroom is more or less encapsulated in red twine.
