All extremely well balanced, Mind Crime. I stand by most of our decisions.

The only mechanic in the game I didn't like was the 'first to claim it gets it' delivery of the cakes, but it looks like they didn't affect too much in how the late game played out.

If all three players left agreed and were online, it would be good to wrap things up today rather than stretching out.

If there was only one possible outcome I would try this but there is still an election process to take place that will decide who wins, so I want to ensure all players have been given the normal amount of time to fully consider their decisions.

With the cakes, I was conscious of how these games tend to peter out and simply go through the motions, sometimes quite early on. I knew it would be a risk, and the role is very powerful in being the only one that can unilaterally change the game in such a way (other than the Vigis, I guess), so I made each ability unknown to begin with, fairly limited and I delayed cake production to every other day. I also thought it was likely both Pats would have died sooner. Finally, I couldn't resist tying in the whole 'let them eat cake' thing!

Yeah I've had no clue on the esteemed righteousness thing all game. Only link I can see is that they're all either village special roles or killed a freedom fighter as Bourreau.

Is esteemed righteousness somehow tied in with someone in this thread correctly guessing your alternate identity?

Esteemed righteousness is the reason I had so much trust.

Remove context and that's possibly the smuggest thing anyone has ever said on GR.

Was Emily the last of Bakeforce or has Hugo also answered the call of extreme righteousness?

With not inconsiderable heartache, I can confirm that Emily was the last to be formally inducted.

Chronologically was Idris not the last to be recruited? Though Emily died after him.

Staydead was an adjunct member though even if it wasn't official.

You're right, sorry I was very unclear with my wording there — in my head I was intending to say she was the last 'who had been' formally inducted.

Ah yes of course, now it all makes sense, the whole thing is clear to me.

But if you need to explain it to other people, I understand.

Realised that was a dick post while typing but I figured it would be worse to give it away prematurely!

Is it not related to the killing of ff who had made a night kill then? That was another thing?

That was just extra flavour I added partway through. I was upset by the death of Ana, so I decided that (after the game has finished) awards would be given to any Bourreaux who took the head of FFs who had killed those with esteemed righteousness.

I'm a bit gutted the esteemed righteousness didn't quite develop as far as I hoped it would. They only unlocked one of the three powers and it took them so long to get the first one it had been rendered obsolete by then :(.
