Parksey wrote:Yeah I agree with this. Only Reflektor immediately hooks you in. There are a few others that I sense will grow on me. The Suburbs got me pretty much straight away, but I think this will take a few listens, and all the way through in one sitting as well, rather than just the odd track here and there.

I'd probably rank the other three as Funeral > Suburbs > Neon Bible, though often my opinion changes to the one I am currently listening to. For a long time, I thought Suburbs was actually better than Funeral, and only recently changed them around in order.

I agree with the first part, though would indeed have Suburbs over Funeral. However, it's minor quibbling when it's all this bloody good, right?

I've only had time to give Reflektor two proper listens so need to give it a lot more time.

Forgot about Porno, but I'd put that up there with the best songs too.

Afterlife is the best song on the album.

I'm starting to miss my long train journeys where I could give new albums multiple listens back to back to back and properly evaluate their quality. Now my commute is 10 minutes I'm not listening to much music anymore.

I suppose I should use the time I save to just sit with the lights off in my living room and try and give stuff the time. I have just bought £250 speakers so I need to do something constructive with them.

I think they've sacrificed too much to have a dance beat on most tracks

My favourite track keeps changing. It's currently Awful Sound, the production on it's fantastic. Normal Person, Porno and It's Never Over really stick out for me as well.

Slightly related, has anyone heard James Murphy's remix of Love is Lost by Bowie? It's outstanding.

Couldn't get any pics sadly, as I was already blazing by the time I got inside. :fp:
