Probably not at this point.

It doesn't seem so if this is set in 1999.

The idea originally was that all these disparate timelines (noir, Pulp Adventure and now 70s sci-fi) were Real(TM) Archer dreaming whilst in a coma. I suppose I always thought they'd do a final season returning to the original spy setup but apparently not.

Yes - I assumed the same - but unless the final episode of this season involves him either waking up or dying, they seem to just have let that concept go.

I thought it was more a spin on the name of the show "Space: 1999" than anything.

I think they are. Honestly the coma thing has worked out well for me, because I've enjoyed these odd timelines. I really liked Dangerzone.

At least it's never gotten as bad as Archer Vice again :dread:

Yup. The spy thing was getting tired and the writers obviously wanted to move on (Archer Vice indeed) and the coma was a good way to do it. And as you say, I've enjoyed all the period pieces.

The series has never quite reached the heights of the first 2 seasons, but I'm going to miss it when it's gone.

I'd argue that the noir season was almost on a par with Vice for shitness, but the most recent series was decent enough to keep me interested.

Yo tbh I thought Vice and Noir were pretty good. Both were good changes of pace at the time and tried to tell more long form narratives, which I think they mostly did well

Danger Island, asides from a few moments, just wasn't funny to me at all

Noir had Barry to elevate it above Vice though.

I liked Noir and Danger Island once I realised the format had changed pace and had replaced some laughs with narrative. Neither series is as funny as the earlier ones, but they're more coherent and play the characters off each other in different ways.

Archer is renewed for an 11th season—and he's finally waking up

All of which was apparently answered at the show’s panel at Comic-Con today, when executive producer Casey Willis revealed that not only is Archer coming back for an 11th season, but that the coma dream years are finally at an end; Sterling Archer is waking up, folks, and he’s going to be doing a whole bunch of spy gooseberry fool again.

It was. But then Comic Con happened.

Well, I'm glad they're waking him up. I've enjoyed the last few seasons, but they need a "real life" series again before wrapping it up.

I need to get in on Season 10, I haven't seen any of it yet. Apparently though it's one of the better dream seasons (Though that's not a particularly high bar)

Yeah it's been pretty good, but I've enjoyed all the post drug dealer seasons, so maybe get a second opinion

I could've sworn that 12 was supposed to be the last season, but Netflix now has Season 13.

It's a shame, but apparantly the writers got bored of making it which is why they did all the dream seasons to give them some new stuff to work with.

Either way I've really enjoyed it all, it had a really great run.
