Still terrible parents, still no clue why they haven't been charged with neglect.

They left multiple small children alone in an unlocked apartment and then strawberry floated off to have a meal and a drink with friends a significant distance away where they could not see all access points to where they had left their children unattended. :fp:

Because the media narrative was "Oh these poor people, oh this poor girl"

If they were poor and on benefits, the other kids would have been taken into care and media would have vilified them. Instead, they've made a shed load of money out of it. It's a shame that other missing children don't have this much attention paid to them.

Wealthy middle to upper class white couple in the medical profession, with pretty blonde white daughter snatched by smelly foreign. It's perfect express fodder.

This

The fact they have made millions of her going missing/murdered and them being in on it.
When thousands of children across the country are going missing yet they dont get no coverage like maddie.

Wouldn't leave my 9yr old on alone in our own house let alone a 3yr old in a place out of view.

A hundred times this. It’s not exactly rocket science is it? Don’t leave three under-tens in a hotel room themselves for strawberry float’s sake.

Because they're upper-middle class white people. The law doesn't apply.

That should be a band name (if it isn't already). Like the All American Rejects, who were, in all likelihood, upper class mongs.

Can we stop using the word "mong". It's borderline racist and highly offensive to anybody who cares about people with Down's Syndrome.

Agreed, It's uncomfortable to hear people say it, let alone read.

Should be highly offensive to anyone with a modicum of empathy, it’s a terrible word. Objection sustained.

I was listening to a podcast that has a Scotland Yard figure on and the cost involved in this is staggering

The Maddie fund goes unaccounted I believe - it isn’t set up as a charity or anything.

A general murder investigation before trial can cost between £1.5-2 million (approx) and they were touting up that this case had already cost probably £11 million.

Considering there are cases that go unanswered because of costs this is insane for a figure really. The fact there were so many mistakes to begin with, and even the British Police haven’t attacked the case from the start without prejudice of what’s happened and doing it ground up mean it’s just a flawed investigation & to me a colossal waste of
money in 2020. They state that certified experts with DNA & such have offered their services pro bono for feee but just get ignored out of ego.

I’d like to see an inquiry into the spend to be fair, & just what has been achieved from it. I think Gamble now has come out & said he thinks she just got up and walked out - and there’s no evidence to support that. There’s very little evidence to be fair that’s been throughly investigates to support she was abducted. But with Kate’s testimony of the window open & the history of similar cases it’s the most likely.

As I mentioned I don’t think the parents killed her or anything, but they need clearing as suspects because ultimately they are #1 in these type of cases and should be absolved as soon as (if they can be) possible of suspicion.
