Indeed, the Chinese around here does really nice chips, but the are very different to the chippy. And I like that.

Down south has nothing to do with it, Chinese fish/sausage and chips can be amazing.

My local one is crap for anything other than Chinese food, but the Chinese where I grew up did amazing battered sausages. :datass:

I agree, the curry sauce from Chinese takeaways is really nice, I have it with the chicken balls instead of sweet & sour sauce, I don’t like the curry sauce you get from fish and chip shops
