It was actually Deadpool/Corazon who said it, but I made it what it is.

After I (a wolf) died in AYAW III, as he knew I wouldn't say anything to the other wolves, Corazon came out with that, rather emphatically. He and his crew (Roonie, Tiarny, er, and probably others) were utterly CONVINCED that poor old Herb was the Alpha. So I sigged it and the people in the game started noticing it... went from there pretty much. By the time the poor strawberry floater got lynched every remaining villager in the game had him pegged as the Alpha Wolf.

Herbi hasn't signed up yet...

The reaction to "Herbi has been lynched. He was... A VILLAGER!" must have been something else.
