The last few days starting when Rosamund got lynched over Drew were when the village really got lost.

Note how on one day I told Steve to seer Drew as well thinking Steve was our informant, I'm surprised that never came up. It was what was used as the excuse to open up the lynch vote vs me :slol:

Yeah, we got the John/Steve thing wrong. We wanted to save Steve so killed John. It put me in the good guy club which helped.

I was amazed at how quickly Vermillion (Kurt) and Woody (Oblomov) just immediately believed anything you said after that.

I think I dropped the ball today, was out for most of it and so didn't have time to study things as much as I would have liked to.

Lucy Lui turned out to be a formidable opponent.

Oh my! Everyone knows how much I love a spreadsheet. Here are a couple of mine:

It's a couple of days out of date now as I was away over the weekend, but you can probably see what I was looking to figure out. I logged every vote made on another tab, so was able to check who voted for who. Throughout the game, the approach was to push the voting in our favour by figuring out who would be supportive of us and who would not.

I have to say sorry to Jamie for attacking him so aggressively at the end there! I'd been lining you up for a fall for a couple of days because when people started posting their suspects, you were mentioned and I felt that with enough encouragement, they would vote for you. Killing most of the specials early on really enabled us to focus on rigging the votes.

I'm just amazed that pretty much all of the kills by us were specials in a game with a decent number of villagers.

I felt kinda happy that I pushed for quite a lot of them too. :toot:

I don't know if anyone picked up on it, but my post this morning quoted both Kurt and Bruce talking about concerns over Jamie from a few days ago. They were left alive because they had both shared this common ground. Quoting this was deliberate, so they would get a notification pointing them to their own concerns over Jamie. Even if they had moved on, it was a nudge to say 'this is your concern, not just mine'. I don't know if it made a difference, but that was the idea at least. I also kept posting Jamie's name in my posts over and over! Jamie blah blah blah Jamie blah blah blah Jamie! We wanted Rosamond to survive in her lynch vote as once she died it was clear Drew would be a target, but splitting the vote was key and I wanted Jamie's name to be in peoples mind, even if it was only me voting for him at that point.

As a bonus, Jamie was the last surviving member of the four people who voted for me on day one. I considered using this to suggest that it showed he was a cowboy as they had been splitting their votes, but decided it was too risky! I need to up my day one game - I'm always on the bloody lynch vote!

I found it quite annoying that I couldn't share my spreadsheet in this game as I would normally rely on it, but I made a couple of mistakes (voting alongside Winona on two occasions was one of them), plus I used my 'bad team' spreadsheet rather than my 'town' spreadsheet which is created with some different purposes.

I used a picture of Gary Oldman playing his role as Detective Gordon in Batman as it was probably his most recognisable good guy role.

Congrats cowboys! Well deserved. Great game Nun, thanks for hosting, I think the role shakeup worked well!

Only had the alpha nailed on day 1 didn't I... and then got killed for it!

That wasn't why we killed you, if anything the others thought it'd be risky to kill you as you voted for Gary.

I pushed for it since it looked like you had your head screwed on and would be dangerous to be left alive. The fact you were a killing role as well really helped us.

Winona Ryder wrote:This is a risky play but I think killing Uma Thurman might be a good shout. They voted first for you Gary, but they seem to be clued in on how to actually play and keeping them around could be more of a risk than a benefit.

Gary Oldman wrote:I think that going for Uma is a risky double bluff, but this is ultimately a game and it should be fun, so if you guys think it's the right move I'm happy to see it through and give it our best shot. I have to admit, I would also love to remove Uma from the game, but obviously it is a high risk, high reward move which will generate some votes in my direction. Lets make it a vote!

Javier (1) - Gary
Uma (1) - Winona

That's neat to see. Dan really set the direction of the game with his informant play on day 2. I reckon that, hitting all the roles early in general, and lynching Rosamund were the deciding plays.

Woody was the only player who voted for a town aligned player on day one! Thankfully we nudged the vote towards Kirsten, who ended up being the Arsonist. On a personal level I was absolutely chuffed with that, as the last game ended with me sat trying and failing to kill the Arsonist, so it felt like redemption in that respect.
