I'm just going to say having 10 bad guys made this incredibly hard. The fact we even got it down to a 1v1v1 is pretty impressive if you ask me. Emily, Henry, Tom and Idris. You guys are the real MVPs. :toot:

That being said, I'd like to run for executioner tonight with the 3 of you and 2 others to go in the thingy. Your innocence can be proved pretty quickly that way. Or not.

And then they killed me.

Well played everyone. Not sure how you can come back from a blow like this SD. This was your day. :dread:

Cracking game OB, possibly the best yet.

Because I was a strong townie

Such lies and deception. Great win for the Freedom Fighters.

Great game, OB. It was an enjoyable one.

I think there were enough clues that Jodie was dodgy in there.

You kept on saying that Jodie was less likely to be dodgy because she was "so active" - but that just wasn't the case. Her posting record is quintessential sus - absolutely middle of the road in terms of number of posts per day to avoid looking "quiet" but so many of those posts containing little but comments on what's happening in the game and primarily going with the flow in terms of suspicions and actions.

The stunning Anya called it nearly a week ago:

Anya Taylor Joy wrote:Jodie Comer
Moderate level poster - 50 posts (4 posts pre-game) A little more talkative than Idris but there is still something of a quietness to Jodie. She has posted a reasonable amount but hasn't shared much in those posts - they tend to be short and just commenting on recent events.

One key aspect that stands out: Jodie hasn't posted AT ALL since going in the Etang - this is despite being active in the afternoon on all other days so far...

Busy? Worried? Deciding a strategy with her fellow FFs? Hmm.

Honestly even if Aaron had died sooner I still would've been left with a 50/50 with Morgan left alive with someone else and I'd probably still vote against Morgan.

I'm going to go on with my day happy with the fact this is the first game I think other people probably think I did an ok job. I failed both 50/50s though, strawberry float.

Hello! You asked for villager role claims too so here I am!

Potentially I could be a hero of the town! I am a loyal subject of the Ancient Regime so I will do whatever it takes to exterminate and hunt down the Freedom Fighters who have committed treason.

Without my support surely the Domme will fall to the incorrect revolution. I'm going to make my voice heard to weed out the traitors and fulfil my destiny.

When we win I shall make a toast to everlasting prosperity!

---

I haven't bothered to get in touch as there's no way to verify me. I'm hopeful that me and Idris will turn the Etang blue tonight (depending on who goes in with us). While Idris' posts could read as a wolf not adding much to the game to me he reads more as a bored citizen, which I can sympathise with! When you're locked out of the PM circles in these games things can get a bit tedious, but I've been trying to keep my activity up as it helps the village in the long run.

Anywho I am heading out for the day now so won't be about, just letting you know so my "disappearance in the afternoon" isn't counted as suspicious again (like Anya tried to say!).

EDIT: Just realised you got a Vigilante PM so the first half of my message will seem like gibberish.

Look at this! strawberry float!

I think that's downplaying a lot of the good work that Aaron did in maintaining Qikz's trust over those last few days.

Well played Aaron and well played Qikz. Just had a feeling Morgan was a disinterested villager as I doubt a wolf would be that inactive but we didn't act on it at all and Aaron was too cunning so I'm not surprised it ended like that

Felt quite emotional just now, updating the opening post for the last time. The Gouv has fled into exile... I'm not sure we will ever see him again :(.

I have thoroughly enjoyed hosting this and seeing how much entertainment it has brought so many of you :D. Ultimately, it wouldn't work without your enthusiasm so a huge thank you to everyone for your contributions – the early alarms, extensive analysis, getting in trouble at work/with partners at home etc didn't go unnoticed  StayDead had me cracking up with some of his manic PMs.

Well in SD, enjoyed the pm chats and in thread stress of hoping decisions were made correctly! Unlucky in the end, you were so close!

Very well run OB. At first I thought FF had little chance of winning but in the end it turned out to be a very well balanced game that could have gone either way.

The rest of my team played an incredible game. I had a couple of good ideas that didn't really pan out. Early on there were so many options and things to consider that it was hard to know the best course of action. So I think I mostly relied on the rest of my team but Victory in death gives me 4 wins in last 5 games, so I'll take it :slol:

In terms of the numbers I don't think there's too much difference to a normal game due to the potential (and fully realised) crossfire.

Check out my YouTube channel!
One man should not have this much power in this game. Luckily I'm not an ordinary man.

Don't get me wrong, any baddie who gets to the end of these games has done well!

But I still think there were things that could have been picked up on, and were picked up on by others, it seems like Qikz had decided much earlier in the game that Jodie was legit and was refusing to see any reason why that might not be the case. Even just yesterday Jodie said "I'd go Maggie personally as I had her pegged as a FF from day one and would want to find out ASAP (if I were in Hugo's shoes) but no biggie!" - had her pegged from Day 1?! Seriously - from day 1, when nobody had done anything?! How was that not evaluated further!?

As a counterpoint - it's so easy in these games to become hyper paranoid and start questioning everything so I have a lot of sympathy for how difficult that is, especially toward the end of the game!

Great game, thanks for running Ob. I think ultimately it could have gone any one of the three ways going into these last few days, Aaron played his game brilliantly to bring it home for the team. Was an honour fighting with my fellow teammates

Now that the game is over, what was the esteemed righteousness mechanic all about?

Yeah, when you floated this theory and we checked and there were three of us on there we were a little worried it would pick up traction at some point in the game, and then obviously we later found out there were also four Jacobins on there!

Yeah we got a bit worried too!

To be fair it's hard to know how much to read into these things - for example if you did the same for the last X numbers of games we've had on here I'm not convinced you'd see a strong correlation between baddies and page 1 posting

Problem was because there were so many FF there was always basically someone we had to lynch immediately so I never really did mass post investigations.

My role PM explains why I had an unusual level of trust which might be strange if you just read the thread:

Gouverneur wrote:'Tom Hardy' – Bladeforce Warrior

You are the Founding Father of the Bladeforce clan.

Each night, you may attempt to recruit one player to Bladeforce. If the player accepts, you must instruct them to inform me of their decision, to confirm the everlasting bond between you. That player will then also become a Bladeforce Warrior. If the player rejects, you must inform me of the rejection and wait until the following day to recruit another player.

When the Bladeforce number reaches milestones (3, 5 and 7), the clan will gain advantages.

3 = Bladeforce will receive a useful piece of information in support of the Town
5 = No more than one member of Bladeforce can be killed by the Freedom Fighters on any one night
7 = Bladeforce can target any player once per day; if the player is a Freedom Fighter, they will be swiftly brought to justice

Bladeforce must maintain the requisite membership number in order to retain the abilities unlocked by 5 and 7.

If you die, the recruiting power will be inherited by the next-most-longstanding member of Bladeforce.

You may not copy/paste this PM to anyone but you may describe your role and share details of the additional powers with potential recruits. If you die, your secret role will not be revealed and you will show up as a regular Loyal Citizen.

Oh, by the way, try to not accidentally recruit any Freedom Fighters...

A toast: to the everlasting prosperity of the Ancien Régime!
