Hello! You asked for villager role claims too so here I am!

Potentially I could be a hero of the town! I am a loyal subject of the Ancient Regime so I will do whatever it takes to exterminate and hunt down the Freedom Fighters who have committed treason.

Without my support surely the Domme will fall to the incorrect revolution. I'm going to make my voice heard to weed out the traitors and fulfil my destiny.

When we win I shall make a toast to everlasting prosperity!

---

I haven't bothered to get in touch as there's no way to verify me. I'm hopeful that me and Idris will turn the Etang blue tonight (depending on who goes in with us). While Idris' posts could read as a wolf not adding much to the game to me he reads more as a bored citizen, which I can sympathise with! When you're locked out of the PM circles in these games things can get a bit tedious, but I've been trying to keep my activity up as it helps the village in the long run.

Anywho I am heading out for the day now so won't be about, just letting you know so my "disappearance in the afternoon" isn't counted as suspicious again (like Anya tried to say!).

EDIT: Just realised you got a Vigilante PM so the first half of my message will seem like gibberish.

Look at this! strawberry float!

Rocsteady this is the PM I got. This is part of the reason I trusted Jodie so much. Jodie also posted if you look at the thread like a good villager the whole way through.

Well, I had fun. Thanks for running the game!

Just an aside, the role PM I got for the Etang had like nothing in it, not even Tom's role or the bakers. I was also wrong about Tilda and Morgan, but I did try to use them as bait to get the freedom fighters to kill each other. :fp:

As said in the death thread, I had a busy day on day 1 including a hospital visit and stuff, so to get killed for nothing really does suck balls.

You kept on saying that Jodie was less likely to be dodgy because she was "so active" - but that just wasn't the case. Her posting record is quintessential sus - absolutely middle of the road in terms of number of posts per day to avoid looking "quiet" but so many of those posts containing little but comments on what's happening in the game and primarily going with the flow in terms of suspicions and actions.

The stunning Anya called it nearly a week ago:

Anya Taylor Joy wrote:Jodie Comer
Moderate level poster - 50 posts (4 posts pre-game) A little more talkative than Idris but there is still something of a quietness to Jodie. She has posted a reasonable amount but hasn't shared much in those posts - they tend to be short and just commenting on recent events.

One key aspect that stands out: Jodie hasn't posted AT ALL since going in the Etang - this is despite being active in the afternoon on all other days so far...

Busy? Worried? Deciding a strategy with her fellow FFs? Hmm.

Anya did also do much the same tbf so not surprised you were able to spot a fellow FF running the same con haha

Ah, I knew Tom had a special role! We also suspected the esteemed righteousness was a cult, so should have put two and two together.

We did keep coming back to the idea that Tom was a Jacobin and he had blagged his way into the trusted group, but his post about the first page having lots of FF on it didn't make sense if he was a FF.

Great game OB.

On the one hand I'm disappointed to have lost (victory in death innit) and feel sorry for Qikz for having been fooled by Aaron (who is indisputably this game's MVP surely)

On the other hand Qikz did shoot me...

karen gillan wrote:angelina advocated targeting inactives early on suggesting her allies were among the players already active at that point

Unsure of the NC/J split here (haven't followed the game as closely since I died) but I posted this after I analysed the first twenty pages of the thread. Having advocated for Etang-ing Jennifer and Jodie on day three*, I feel somewhat vindicated and therefore absolved of the bad guesses I made in the dead thread (such as - of course Maggie was Falsey. Think I just forgot about him as he sat out the last game)

Might not retire just yet.
GG everyone

(*though that's still only a 40% hit rate. As OR has pointed out the town achieved 60% yet still lost!)

(PS Aaron how did you feel on Monday during Mario Kart when Qikz joined the chat and started talking about this game? Did he know Jodie was you at that point?)

Yes, just to re-iterate on that point, Ob ran a smashing game. Really well done mate, alongside a couple of Drumstick's games this is one of the best ones I've seen in a long time.

Oh, what was the thinking behind the David Tennant kill? Hugo hadn't revealed himself as a vigi at that point so in our group chat we were fully expecting either Hugo or JLaw to be killed after Karen had also been shot, and were hoping it was Hugo and that he would flip Jacobin so JLaw would have a chance of surviving. Was quite funny when Doctor Who's name came up out of the blue

I think the village misinformation game myself, Tom and Henry played made this a really unique game for me. Was a lot of fun that I think was only possible thanks to the FFs knowing there were two factions even before we did so it made for some unique opportunities for bluffing.

As I said in the death thread, cheers for running Ob! Was a really fun game and I feel like there was some really strong play from all three factions across the board so it felt like a great close game.

A humble thank you to everyone for all of the praise  sorry if I neglected to thank you personally in here or in the Death Thread – I promise I have read every post and each one warmed my heart. It really helped to make it all worthwhile and I feel huge satisfaction in having been able to give something back to the community.

I said this after the last 2 games as well, but genuinely alt account games are so much better so whoever runs the next one (Nun? If not I'm thinking of running one again at some point) use alt accounts again.

Yeah alt accounts are great.

Although it was so hard not to call some people by their forum name when it was obvious who they were!

Celebrity names was also an inspired decision. It made it really easy to remember who's who.

Absolutely this. I struggle really badly with alt account games (the time difference didn't help when I was in Japan either) but this was a masterstroke from OB.

He did promise me that he'd make it easier to remember names before I signed up, and also promised me the win seeing as I, erm, let him win when he was the Seer in OR's game too, so thanks for that.

I do wonder if there's some sort of nominative determinism too, with people becoming like their avatars. It definitely helped me view Tom Hardy as a rascal.
