Happy with an inactive lynching for our first shot in the dark.

We need to elect a trustworthy mayor. We have no way of knowing that with such little information early days.

Could all Mayoral candidates confirm or deny if they are willing to be submerged in the Etang tomorrow after being elected today?

Putting everyone who stands for Bourreau in the dunk tank as a matter of course is logical. For today's execution, I would argue for either an inactive or no lynch at all if we can do that. Inactive preferable.

I would also note however that from previous experience at least one of the posters who posted on the first page is probably a FF. So putting some of them in the other slots of the tank is prudent. However as I knew that and so intentionally did not post on the first page to see who would, I'm happy to go in the dunk tank too.

Question regarding the Bourreau. They must submerge five people in to the Etang for it to work. Can one of the five be the Bourreau themselves?

The only thing that comes to mind here is false positive roles, which have been in a few games. But really we can't be inactive based on a guess like that and if there are any roles that are innocent but flag red we might just have to consider it collateral damage if we're unlucky enough to target them.

I guess the flip side of the Etang is that although we know that one or more of the five people is a freedom fighter, it might take a couple of days to find them and by that point we’re at a disadvantage numbers wise. It’s an interesting game mechanic! Happy to go into it myself, by the way. I’d feel…Excellent!…about doing so.

More than happy to take the plunge tomorrow and indeed I'd encourage tomorrow's mayor to put me in so you can be sure of my good intentions with regards to the set up of the pool today.

I think a good setup would be to make an initial short list of 5 people and then if there are any freedom fighters in the initial list then we can rotate new people in/out two at a time as whenever we get a switch in color from that point on it should narrow down our options to a 50/50.

Early days so I've no idea who to vote for yet, maybe just an inactive. I do think a wolf might want to be mayor and so the two mayoral candidates (Ryan Reynolds and Brad Pitt) should be submerged tomorrow.
