Dear Loyal Citizens,

With 32 players in action, today's Bourreau election threshold is 13.

If a player receives 13 votes in the thread, they will be immediately elected as Bourreau and may then confirm their choice for today's execution. After the execution, the Bourreau will be presented with the secret choice, the outcome of which I will confirm to you all.

35 players, 3 bad in the bottom 10. How is what I said in any way incorrect?

35 players with 7 being bad in the previous game. There are 32 players so likely another 7 baddies this time?

Just to add I feel lynching inactives serves two purposes. It forces people to post or be lynched. People forced to post are not often helpful and their posts can be scrutinised. Secondly by lynching active players all we do is help the bad guys thin the herd faster. If someone does something suspicious then fine we lynch them, but lynching an active player day 1 is a crapshoot and often ends up leaving us with less active voices in the thread.

We very nearly lost the last game because Eva Murray and Lucy West essentially refused to take part the entire game and the final remaining village players couldn't figure out if they were bad guys or not.

I'd certainly say go for the inactives. That last game is still very fresh in my mind.

I didn't take part in the last game so can't comment on the way that played out (although it sounds like it was a close shave for the village!), but if previous insurrectionist plot foils are anything to go by then sending the inactive posters to the Guillotine Diamant is the way to go in the early game. If people don't want to play the game and participate then they shouldn't have any complaints if we separate their head from their body :capnscotty:

I'm also happy to go in the etang. Etang clan representin.

Agreed, we shouldn't discount getting rid of inactives when there are no other viable leads.

An inactive almost won the game last time!
There's only a couple of people who haven't posted yet so with no other leads it would make sense to kill/dunk them first.

I’m fairly happy with giving inactives the chop, though we should certainly wait until a little after midday on game day one to decide who the inactives are. Just playing Devil’s Advocate.

For the record, David Tennant, Dev Patel, Leo DiCaprio and Sandra Oh are all completely inactive as of right now. Worth keeping an eye on, for sure. Though things could change at Speed. I don’t know what I’d do - what do you do? What do you do!?

Aside from the obvious nil posters, there are a handful of villagers that have posted a couple of times but nothing of any substance whatsoever:

Anya Taylor Joy - 2 posts
Clint Eastwood - 1 post
Emily Blunt - 1 post
Halle Berry - 1 post
Henry Cavill - 2 posts
Idris Elba - 3 posts
Margot Robbie - 3 posts
Pedro Pascal - 1 post

They can avoid being targeted as inactive, but their vacuous posts make them just as suspicious.

I would be happy for any of those to be a lynch candidate. Preferably DiCaprio though for being the only actor to win an oscar for The Revenant.

Why would the Freedom Fighters want to know if a seering device is active for the whole game?

Have just checked and Dev, Leo and Sandra haven't even made their accounts yet as far as I can see. Tennant made his account yesterday morning but hasn't posted yet.
