First post in the game as well, I believe we've seen a few times now where the bad guys get a bit overenthusiastic and show up in the early posting

Not going to lie, Poirot and yourself are going to be under some scrutiny tomorrow! But there are also those who didn't vote at all to consider. Very happy with that though. I didn't expect Frank to get lynched when I put him forward, was just aiming to get the voting going as realised we'd left it quite late and went with my gut. This is how I currently see things.

If there's a protection role I could probably use it tonight as I'm confirmed town-aligned.

So yeah, I'm the Mayor. I now get 3 votes for every single vote and I can't be eliminated by third-party/neutral killing roles. All the time I'm alive, it's unlikely the Mafia will be able to control the vote.

Kouichi Zenigata is not alligned with the town.
Yesterday he chose to claim Veteran in thread. This is not possible because I am the Veteran.

The chances of us both having the same role in a 10 player game, particularly one as capable of widespread death as Veteran is slim to none in my mind. My powers are to go on alert twice per game at night which will kill any and all visitors. Which is different to what Kouichi suggested the role did. My game plan coming into this was to hit the highest post count Day 1 and then post scum hunting suspicions before the night phase which has historically been a good way to sign my own death warrant, at which point I would alert and kill anyone that came after me. I ended up not using my alert last night as after the lynch results it seemed to me that Magnum and Clouseau were better targets for the kill and I didn't want to kill any investigation roles which would probably now be looking at me instead. This is also your fair warning to any investigation roles that I will be alerting for the next 2 nights given this is going to be such a short game and any village power roles that target me (apart from the roleblocker who targetted me last night) will die.

I do however think that we should NOT vote for Kouichi as it seems to me that they are most likely to be a Jester from their posting style. I would instead suggest that if there is an actual vigilante type of role that they should target Kouichi instead. I appreciate that this could also be interpreted as an Executioner style of play (where I would have to get Kouichi killed to win) but I hope that my posts so far can be taken as beneficial for the town, running with a second candidate yesterday was merely to split the votes so that in the event of a mafioso going up we can then look at a short list (which has now occured!).

I think we should be looking at Jane Marple again for the lynch as I am very confused as to why she appeared and posted while the voting was level but ultimately chose not to post a vote in self defence against Columbo. I wonder if it is the case that they're both mafian (dreadful luck for them if so) and so Jane didn't really have any good options so chose not to vote.

I can also vouch that there is a village roleblocker in the game so one can be verified if they do choose to come forward as I was notified that I was targetted by a roleblocker last night and the mafia roleblocker is already dead.

I am Escort and I took you home with me last night. I felt the fact that your post count was so high and that you were first to vote to save Frank made you the most likely Mafia.

I'm inclined to agree that Jacques and Shinichi are legit, Kouichi however will likely need a little more probing at some point.

I bluffed about having protection because if I came out as jailor - with everyone else literally silent on the prospect of a role call - I figured I'd likely get killed. And then the town killing role would be gone.

As part of my role I can jail one person per night. I can then ask them a question and they'll reply. If I want I can kill the jailed person rather than let them leave, but I can do this only once.

In doing so I have likely (IMO) cleared the person I jailed last night - however if they're a baddie and I let them live, they'll kill me upon leaving. Worth bearing in mind if I die at 10am

Ideally the person I jailed last night will come forward to verify my claim, and I'll in turn verify them.

I think we should consider Hercule Poirot today. I'd be surprised if the mafia failed to try to protect their own in the lynch vote yesterday. Shinichi is as good as confirmed for me as they've called out my role block on them last night. Poirot may have simply been unlucky with his choice, but it's an indicator at least.
