Well that was fun guys! Thanks for enjoying cake with me in the final moments. At least we could achieve that together. :toot:

Whoever is the arsonist, you played a good game, but I shall never forgive you.

Oh and I'll also have some of that cheesecake.

In an unexpected late twist, Cliff Richard revealed that he could not read.

I hope those bullet proof vests are also fire proof! Good night and sweet dreams.

With the final threat of the Arsonist still looming over the town there was a sense of unease in the air and unfortunately for George Raft the Survivor and Cliff Richard the Veteran also the smell of petrol. George Raft in a desperate attempt to save himself dons his vest and waits in his home for the night to end. Cliff Richard the Veteran stands alert for the final time. Who would the Aronist Sammy Davis Jr attack? If Sammy Davis Jr attempts to douse the veteran stood to alert the town will end victorious and George will achieve his victory condition along with the town. If Sammy Davis Jr ignites the Veteran he will achieve victory along with the survivor.

It all comes down to this moment. How did Sammy Davis Jr act? What were his last nights orders? How will the game come to a close?

THE ARSONIST IGNITES AGAIN!

The maniacal laughter of Sammy Davis Jr and the screams of one of our great residents could be heard streets away.

Cliff Richard the Veteran...

Stood at attention he had no idea what to expect. The thick smoke filled his home as he ran out into the street gasping for breath. It was at that moment he noticed where the noise was coming from.

George Raft the Survivor had been killed, engulfed in flame.

Officers retrieved the last will and testament of George
"None of you losers will get to play with my twanger now."

Chief Inspector wrote:George Raft, you are a Survivor.

Self preservation is your MO. The world is hell out there, gang violence, crime and debauchery ruin the once great streets of the East End, but you've made a pledge to keep yourself well out of it. You've only got one life in this world and you're not interested in throwing it away in the futile battle against crime.

The Survivor is a Neutral Benign role. You have 2 Bulletproof Vests which you may use to keep yourself alive from night kills, but once you've used both you're on your own. Your neutrality means you have little interest in how the war against crime will go, you only care about survival.

Your goal is to survive to the end of the game. You win if you're alive at the end of the game, be that a Mafian or Town victory.

With that move the game comes to a close with Sammy Davis Jr the Arsonist as the lone victor. In a 1v1 situation neither player can lynch each other and with no alerts left Cliff is unable to defend himself furthermore and in chaos and smoke Cliff Richard the Veteran passes out, with nobody left to save him he also loses his life at the hand of the Arsonist.

Just yesterday mornin', they let me know you were gone
Suzanne the plans they made put an end to you
I walked out this morning and I wrote down this song
I just can't remember who to send it to
I've seen fire and I've seen rain
I've seen sunny days that I thought would never end
I've seen lonely times when I could not find a friend
But I always thought that I'd see you again
Won't you look down upon me, Jesus
You've got to help me make a stand
You've just got to see me through another day
My body's aching and my time is at hand
I won't make it any other way
I've seen fire and I've seen rain
I've seen sunny days that I thought would never end
I've seen lonely times when I could not find a friend
But I always thought that I'd see you again
Been walking my mind to an easy time, my back turned towards the sun
Lord knows when the cold wind blows, it'll turn your head around
Well there's hours of time on the telephone line to talk about things to come
Sweet dreams and flying machines in pieces on the ground
I've seen fire and I've seen rain
I've seen sunny days that I thought would never end
I've seen lonely times when I could not find a friend
But I always thought that I'd see you baby, one more time again, now
Thought I'd see you one more time again
There's just a few things coming my way this time around now
Thought I'd see you, thought I'd see you, fire and rain now
Na na na. Na na na na na na na na na na. Na na na na na na na na
I've seen fire and I've seen rain
I've seen sunny days that I thought would never end
I've seen lonely times when I could not find a friend
But I always thought that I'd see you baby, one more time again, now
Thought I'd see you one more time again
There's just a few things coming my way this time around now

Chief Inspector wrote:Cliff Richard you are the Veteran

As someone who fought in both World War 1 and World War 2 you are somewhat of a legend in the local community. Your grits and determination kept you alive through hell and you've seen it all. The recent spike of crime in London has really upset you and while you've done your best to stay strong you've found it hard. You just want the criminals to get their comeuppance, but know no matter how hard you try it doesn't get any easier. The paranoia that spawned from the war is getting worse and worse and you're finding it hard to sleep. With a variety of weapons concealed in your house you're ready for whatever comes for you.

The Veteran is a Town Killing role. Your role gives you the ability to stand guard on two seperate nights. Anyone who visits you that night is a target and will be killed - this means you can kill multiple people in one night if they visit you, while you want to ensure a Town victory your paranoia leaves you twitchy and you will hold no punches in defending yourself so you might want to be careful as you might end up killing some of your valuable allies.

As a town role you will win with a Town Victory. Your goal is to lynch every criminal and evildoer.

Some men, you specifically just want to watch the world burn. Ever since you were young you felt a draw to the power of the flame and now with the mess London has become you've had enough. You just want it all to crumble to cinders. It doesn't matter who it is you just want them all dead.

The Aronist is a Neutral Killing Role. Your role allows you one of two actions per night.

1) Select a player each night and douse them in petrol.
2) Ignite all doused players - killing them immediately.

You may only select to do one of these actions per night so you'll want to make sure you pick wisely. Do you douse as many players as possible before igniting or do you kill one by one? The decision is up to you.

As a Neutral Killing role you must eliminate all other threats including all Town and Mafia players. You win if you're the last remaining player standing. Do you have what it takes to cleanse London with your flames?

A huge thank you to everyone that played and a big congratulations to SuperChris the Arsonist for his lone wolf victory!

I hope you all enjoyed it and I'm hoping to be able to run more, because running games that go against the grain of GR games is what I love. This is the first of many games with lots of roles so maybe you might get a bit better each time as you understand the ruleset more and more.

Ah well, at least i nearly made it to the end (being the only hippo in the game was quite something).

Great game everyone, and many thanks to Qikz for being an excellent host.

Just wondering now where the 'you're dead' thread is as i can't seem to find it.

I thought I gave you access, I think I must've spelt your name wrong.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. If people are interested I'm planning on running another revision (since they're small and short) in mid april sometime so hopefully if you guys want to/if some more people who skipped this one want to play you can play again then. I'll be using more roles/mixing in some of the ones from this game as well as using last wills again so hopefully people will get more used to everything!

Any chance of the theme for the next one being Kids TV? Just think, Zippy, Bungle & George team up with Pat Sharp, Tregard from Knightmare, Neil Buchanan, The Animaniacs, & Dave Benson Philips to deal with a bunch of murderous traitors. ;)

We were so close mate! You won my trust at the very end, but it was too late to do anything & our fate was sealed. I enjoyed your gifs, though they reminded me of some sinister images shared by one of the bad guys in the previous game.

It's by far the furthest I have reached in an AYA game though, so it's an improvement, even if it wasnt the win that I craved.

The silly neighbourhood vegetable.

I know, in the end our biggest error was lynching Dusty rather than Sammy, had we not made that error then a win would have been on the cards.

If you had lynched Sammy instead of Dusty you would've won the game. :shifty:
