'Are You A Grinch?' - Grinches, Grinches Everywhere!

Location: The North Pole

A Pack of Grinches have kidnapped Santa Claus! You must defeat the Grinches to save Christmas and the rest of humanity.

The aim of the game, as always, is for the uninformed majority to identify and eliminate the informed minority, the werewolves Grinches, who themselves are looking to wipe out the innocents and ruin Christmas. It is based on the Party game Mafia. Our game alternates between day and night phases in real-time. These phases are explained in the rules section. If this is still somewhat unclear to you, grab a mince pie, all will become very clear once the game gets going. Some of you will be Grinches, some of you will be innocents, some may have special abilities, some may have something else going on entirely.


Rules

• All roles are disseminated randomly.
• There is no victory in death for anyone.
• Sharing of your Role PM or any of the contents is strictly prohibited. Nobody but you is allowed to see your private message which states your role. Neither can you read it out loud over any voice communication service, copy and paste it into the game thread or share your Role PM in any other way you can imagine. Anyone found to have breached this rule will be immediately removed from the game. This is a game of deduction.
• No print screening of ANY PMs relating to this game whatsoever. You are free to quote/fabricate PMs from other players (i.e. not messages from me) as they are open to interpretation/manipulation but no screen posting.
• Each day will follow a similar sequence of events. Players will first vote in thread for who they suspect as being a bah humbug. The player that receives the most votes by the deadline (5pm) will be impaled by The Icicle Ceiling; dozens of thick, unbreakable, sharp icicles, attached to a ceiling that descends onto its victim at rapid speed. The night phase then begins; all roles with night phase activities should have their PMs to me by 7pm when I will look to start rolling these out.
• All players get one vote each day only unless otherwise stated. This is a democracy.
• When you are dead, please stay dead. No death posting. If someone innocently stumbles into the thread seemingly unaware that they are dead, I will be lenient, but please inform them ASAP. Please also do not reveal anything to other players once you are dead – not even to other dead players – because, as the past has shown, these things have a way of impacting the game. Please just observe the game and wait until the end to ask any questions or give any feedback you may have.
• There is a minimal posting requirement - more on that later - but be aware not to fall foul of this.

What's New?

Based on comments from my last game and this thread in the Feedback folder, this game will be reasonably transparent. In case you didn't see it, here is the set up of this game:

• No alt-accounts
• No anonymous external communications, i.e. Twitter
• Role names listed in OP, but not the number of, or role descriptions
• The Seer role will only be advised of a target's allegiance
• As a result of the above, PMs will still be allowed
• Variable post requirement which increases as the number of players dwindle
• No Mayor role
• 1 vote per day, the vote to lynch
• Role reveal with description upon death

Post Requirement

When the game begins, players will be required to make a small number of posts every 24 hours, 00:00 - 23:59. As the game develops with fewer participants remaining, the number of posts required per day will rise.

31-40 players remaining: 4 posts in 24 hours
21-30 players remaining: 6 posts in 24 hours
11-20 players remaining: 8 posts in 24 hours
1-10 players remaining: 10 posts in 24 hours
