I'd seen the kind comments... but still wasn't sure. I prefer playing simpler levels than the ultra-tricky stuff (even though I admire the skill involved in making them!). I still can't do those spinning jumps :fp:  .

But enough of my faffing about. I'm in.

Good stuff Jawa. I think you might find a new spark with the new content. Also spinning jumps just requires you to press a different button.

Classic Jawa though, underselling the difficulty of his levels.

(Kidding, but it definitely won't be the same without you TWA. Your victory last time was beyond deserved, and whoever wins this time will have a hard time wearing the figurative championship belt after you.)

Thanks dude. I'm am sorry I wont be involved this time round. But I cant half arse it.

I dunno why, but I just can't seem to do the spins. Same with carrying items, I struggle with that. I prefer the old-school "run, jump and that's it" style!

I think that level difficulty is really interesting. It's so hard to judge this when making a level. I prefer it when tough challenges give an extra reward rather then being essential to progress. My levels tend to have some tough timing aspects but rarely need any "technically advanced" skills. It's a hard balance to strike!

Oh, and Matt, I wish you were in the event, too :-( .

I'll let Matt borrow my copy if that's the only reason he can't take part...

Time. With the constant hospital appointments between having treatment with my skin cancer, my sleep apnea, my mouth (STILL AFTER strawberry floating YEARS!!) my back and heart, then there's the Hospital with one of my kids due to being autistic and another due to his stomach issues and my youngest with his eyes and ears. Along with streaming, trying to do reviews (not got one finished in nearing 2 months) and more importantly the family I simply have no time.

What are the numbers like compared to the AYAMMM's for the previous game? Hopefully we've got enough to ensure a good mix of variety and quality in the output!

It's about average.

The second contest had about 16 at the start. 8-10 is about right so while I would have liked more, there's still plenty here to work with.

I'll be on streaming more Mario Maker tonight once the sign ups finish I think. My plan is currently to get started in the next few days so I'll post more about that over the weekend!

you know how in Dark Souls you used the shoulder button and trigger to attack? Its no more complex then then that and blimey most of the time we had to tell you to stop attacking.
