Will be really hard to rank the levels I think, I really liked them all in the stream!

There was a lot of variety within the themes which makes it interesting! I still seem to be learning mechanics too

There was a fairy fountain in my level that dev missed, so look out for that when you're playing. Was cool to see other people's versions in the stream, I think we all did something different but still recognisably a fairy fountain

My level was a classic example of Devlin breaking them if your not careful :fp: :slol:

And also an example how no matter how obvious something seems to you when making something. The player may not know/see what you want them to do.

Glad you got through it in the end though :)

'Chipz, hee, yeah... CD broke through to the very first coin at the start on my level  . I think in both cases, though, that thankfully the rest of our levels held up :) .

So true, man. Players often don't approach the game quite as you think they will and that can be challenging!

The second part of my level was designed purely around redirecting the bullet bills with the cat suit, with progression in difficulty. Without that being super obvious I’m now kicking myself :fp:

Yeah without doing lots of play testing with a group of users it's really hard to think how others will approach your level, often what you think will be super obvious or intuitive just doesn't even come into someone else's head!

Really enjoyed watching all of the levels last night, some really inventive creations on display!

I was thinking how a user created content game like Mario Maker could address the "playtest problem". A spectator mode that lets a creator watch other people playing their level would be interesting I think. The other problem is that you can't update a level, only delete and re-upload as new. I get why - you can change the level completely and abuse the fact you have so many plays/likes, and the comment system would break. Some concept of level "versioning" might work as a solution - letting players jump back to previously uploaded versions if they want.

I very much doubt Nintendo would go in for something like that though, because it adds mostly unwanted complexity. Maybe a spectator or saved replay mode isn't completely unimaginable though - it'd also be neat just to view the world record speed runs if they were saved as replays!

I think with the Zelda maps it probably didn't help that Cheeky wasn't up on the mechanics, so many things that would be obvious he made somewhat harder

Played everyone's levels now, really impressive work all round. Going to be very hard to rank this week I think!

Didn't use the bow every time he should have used the bow, until the one time the sword would have been way better and he used the bow :P

So I'm sorry to say that Jawa has pulled out. :(

He sent me an apologetic PM the other day that he is taking a break.

I'm assuming that's a GRcade break because it coincided with the conversation he was having in the Coronavirus thread and he's now closed his account and I can't even PM him to clarify.

So going forward there will only be 4 members in Flower group.

All points will stay the same, but there is now no need to include Jawa in your rankings.

Those who have submitted already, I will disregard votes for Jawa and move the other makers up to take this into account.

Shame, I really enjoyed his last level as well - especially the shortcut!

Hope he comes back again.

Disappointing about Jawa :(

I've just finally played through the levels myself and voted. Turns out I really enjoy the Link moveset in this! Probably not surprising given my love for sidescrolling Zelda that isn't Zelda II

Looking forward to the stream tomorrow

I'll be spending tomorrow morning playing these through and voting. Hope that's not too late with you Devlin.

Shame about Jawa. (Seemed inevitable as soon as he started talking politics again to be honest, he'd be the first to admit he's not cut out for internet arguments, but there you go...)

Sent my votes in.

Really struggled to rank them this week, there were aspects from pretty much every course that deserved top recognition!
