This is true but generally those either involved some skill in achieving or discovery - in the Lakitu case it just seems a little too easy to bump him off and bypass all the challenges!

Put Lakitu higher up

You can't take Lakitu's cloud into pipes, so if progressing through the level requires entering a pipe then that's one way to guarantee the player can't take too much advantage of the cloud.

Of course that solution may not necessarily apply to your level.

Yeah there are a variety of options to nerf the power of getting Lakitu's cloud but most of them are not really applicable to my level sadly.

I'll either leave it as is and just accept the fact that he can be abused or ditch him entirely I think.

I'm shocked that orange is a woman but I'm more shocked that she's a human!

Who knew making a level that feels like so many of the ones we've all played would be so tricky?

I'm just in the polishing phase now, ensuring that enemies spawn correctly, making sure their placements are effective and adding a few small bonuses - similar to how I feel Nintendo would - so I may well have it submitted later tomorrow.

Glad to see the new makers getting invested in the contest!

I especially love all the updates about making sure your levels are as polished and robust as possible......

For me, what I associate with Mario (particularly modern Mario) is levels that make you want to explore and see everything. You can zoom through my map but I'm hoping people will want to be curious and poke around. (Though it'll be quite funny if Devlin just speedruns it! )

My level's as done as it's gonna get so I've submitted it.

Very pleased with how it turned out. I don't think I've been as happy with any of the other MM2 levels I've made thus far.

I've submitted my level :toot:

It was a lot of fun getting back into level making and this was actually my first level in Mario Maker 2. I only played the story mode when I bought the game at launch :P

I'll try to watch Sunday's stream :toot:
