(In retrospect four levels in one week would have been very hard but that didn't occur to me! )

Most of my levels so far have been made on the Saturday night before the deadline so I think I would definitely struggle to get 4 put together in that time! :slol:

Almost halfway there and two levels done :datass:

My girlfriend has legit been bullying me to make me play mario maker to get them done... but I think she just likes having full control of the TV

Yeah everything is fine. Just doing stuff today that took longer than I expected. Thanks though. :D

Got my first level done now, might revisit it when I've progressed the others but happy with it for now.

Currently debating how much effort to put into tying all of the levels together, ether thematically or in terms of mechanics. Part of me wants it to feel like a proper world that hangs together but at the same time I don't want any one level to be restricted in some way by the others!

I get that. The whole world maker has me more conflicted the more I use it - there are definitely multiple features in there that put it beyond the bare minimum implentation, and yet it still feels very restrictive. Possibly just because the grid size is so small it's hard to actually plot many interesting routes across it? I also didn't expect to get annoyed by the lack of choice over music (it's just set for each world theme) but then the one I'm going with at the moment I really wish I could change the music

It's the little things I guess!

People were speculating a fair few features from the latest update were cut or limited in scope. From playing around with the world editor it seems cool but it definitely also seems like it was intended to have a little more.

I also like the SMB2 mushroom a lot, but think it would have been truly excellent if they'd been able to push a bit further and put the probably planned full SMB2 mode into the game. I understand things don't always work out in game dev so I'm glad to have the mushroom too, but the mode would have been fantastic.

About half of my second level mapped out now. It’s going to need some refinement and tweaking but feeling pretty good about the core that is there so far.

I think I have come up with my best level name pun yet :datass:

That's like, 60% of what makes a level, right?

Haha, it’s got to be worth a few points that’s for sure! All of my level names have been based on a reference. Now that I think about it I’m not convinced there’s enough source material left for me to use, I might have to branch out!

Managed to squeeze some time in on this last night and almost wrapped up my second level now which is good, although it has made me want to go back and fiddle with my first level as a result which is bad!

I've got the last two levels roughly planned out in my head now which is a useful start but I need to crack on with getting them into the actual game.

I think I'm done o:

@Devlin, do we PM the four individual level codes to you as well as uploading a world?

I've not uploaded anything yet mind, I want to give everything a few more playthroughs in case of any final tweaks!

I've got some catching up to do now then! :dread:

Feeling quite happy with what I've got so far actually, it's a strange feeling because having 2 mostly complete levels at this point in the week makes part of me feel like I'm ahead of the game as usually I would have done nothing by now, but then I remember that I still have twice as much as usual left to do!
