It's a shame you lose all that progress from the start of the level/checkpoint to where the 1-ups are hidden

I haven't given the levels a play yet but will do later today. They already look all very different from the stream :lol:

Played all levels 3 times now, unlike before I am going to let myself think it over before submitting my results. Whoever goes should know that this has been extremely close.

When Jenuall found the pig noise, which I put in specifically to annoy him :lol:

No idea how this is going to play out, every level is great and different.

It's a really cracking set of semi final levels, it's a huge ask to get people to pick between them - but hey, nothing good in life is easy! :slol:

Jen, will there be a 3rd place playoff?

I wasn't planning on doing a 3rd place play off, I don't think Cheeky did that in the past (I certainly don't recall one last year) but maybe I'm wrong!

I'm happy to be flexible though, if people want a 3rd place play off then I'm up for it - give the people what they want and all that! I've still got a few sets of guidelines that haven't been used (*cough* car levels *cough*) so there's definitely material to work with

May as well do it if you have spare guidelines for it, would be fun!

I'll give others a chance to chip in with an view on things but if people want it then I'm very happy to go ahead with a 3rd place round (if nothing else it will give the finalists more time to create their masterpieces!)

I think a third/fourth playoff would be fun! And I think a multi-level final would benefit from having longer to make the levels if it helped with that.

Submitted my vote. Very very tough to choose a favourite there.

It seems that people are keen on a 3rd place play off so I'm very happy to go along with that! We lost a round from the double elimination so this brings us back up to the number planned originally which is nice

Now, given we are over halfway through this week and that we don't yet know who the grand final pairing and 3rd place pairing are going to be the question is: what do people think about timescales? Would one week be enough time for the 3rd place players to produce their final level?

It's just my opinion, but I personally have been enjoying getting the guidelines a bit early, so that I can give them a proper mull over. That's worked well for me particularly as I've found it hard to make time some weeks. It's totally up to you though, no problem either way!

I don't mind one week to make a third/fourth place playoff level as that will then keep the weekly streams going nicely and give the actual finalists more time which is more important! If it is like:

Semi-final results -> 3rd/4th playoff showcase -> 3rd/4th playoff results -> final showcase -> final results

Guidelines for both the playoff and the finals have to go out after the semi-final results, which only gives the playoff players one week to make a level, but gives the finalists 3 weeks to make their (presumably) multiple levels.

Alternatively, make next week a non-scored free-submission stream of koopa car levels. Then it doesn't matter there is only one week to make the levels, more of us can submit if we want to, and the finalists still get more time for the levels that matter
