Nobody is expecting 8 10/10 levels.

7 10/10's and one 9.5/10 is fine!

But of course there are expectations that delivering multiple levels will require compromises that focusing on a single one didn't demand. I can't speak for the earlier AYAMMM finals because I wasn't involved/following at that point but I think it's fair to say that last year neither myself or OR managed to produce a World full of GOAT levels!

Is 4 car levels too much?

I havent had chance to play the levels yet but will do soon

All levels finished and in a world. 'Just' need to upload and clear them all, which I'll do Sunday. I'm assuming it's just a world code we pass on this time.

The world builder is pretty disapointing really, but it gives a bit of atmosphere (why doesn't it say the level name until you stasrt it?).

I might tweak a little bit on my final level, but I'm done I think. Now I need to play and rate the third place playoff levels.

Can someone who understands super worlds a bit help please?

I've built my world in W8 of the super world, meaning 1 to 7 are blank. Am I going to be able to upload just the W8 part or is that going to not work? Worried I might have to scrap what I've done and just make something on W1 only.

Edit: Just stumbled on the solution - under each W1, W2 etc there's a rocket, which you need to select to delete that world until you only have the one left. Annoyingly it's then called W1, I want it to be world 8 for the finale dammit!

Well you know what the answer is then: you need to make Worlds 1-7 in the next 3 days! :toot:

I know you've solved the specific issue, but I might be able to clear some things up anyway. Uploading "worlds" doesn't work like levels. Every user has only one "Super World" upload space and rather than having a world code equivalent to a level code, it is just the one Super World linked directly to your user profile. People don't use a world code to find it - they just go straight to your profile and select to play your one and only "Super Victor World" - the name is taken from your username and you can't change it.

A note on terminology: A world is a single screen map that can contain up to 4 levels. A "Super World" is a series of individual numbered worlds.

tl;dr every user can upload one super world (although you can save more locally, and change which one is online)

Thanks for the info. Sounds a bit compromised (Its Nintendo so of course it is), but as I understand it then, I put my 4 levels up as normal, then in the world maker, make it live, then Jenuall goes to my profile and starts it from there.

Yeah that's right.

The whole update was obviously pared back so yeah worlds aren't as fully featured as we might like but I think they are still a decent addition. The creator is limited but still with some scope for creativity and playing good worlds is a good way of playing the game.

Yeah the World stuff could have been expanded upon but it's still a really nice addition. If nothing else the ability to string a selection of levels together that allows a creator to express a progression of ideas is really nice. I've played a few really well put together Worlds since they were added.

Maybe in SMM3 we will get something even better

I did a few run throughs of the world this morning and it did make them all seem like part of something bigger. Just a shame the level names don't appear when you move over them.

How are those Super Worlds coming on then? Finishing touches complete or still a long way to go?

I've yet to receive any votes on the 3rd place play off, Karl and Victor have got an excuse for why they might be busy but the rest of you need to get playing! :capnscotty:

I'm all finished. The world looks quite cool really considering how limited it is. I'll be uploading my levels and then activating the world on Sunday morning. If there's no description you can put in for the world, I might send one to Jenuall if that's not breaking any rules. (Just a sentence like you'd have on the level desription).

And we'll reminded on the playoff, I still need to play them and rate them.

I'm happy to be given a World description from both finalists, always helps to have some context/framing for things!
