Grabbed a few records on the levels, the variety of ideas is the real standout this round. Very impressive stuff!

I'll do a little coin arrow to reveal a hidden 1up block, Jenuall will like that!

*Jenuall somehow goes out of level bounds*

Oh no. Oh nooooooo.

Its always an eye opener to watch people play when you think you've sufficiently signposted enough, but you clearly haven't. I thought people might try to climb the first bit without the P balloon, so I made it I possible to do so (I did allow it further up though) but I DIDN'T expect the dropping platform after the switch to make you think you needed to climb with that, and you were annoyed you couldn't.

I learned much from the other ones again too. I had no idea you could have switchable tracks!

But yeah it's always fascinating watching other people play your creations and seeing things in a way that you never anticipated during the design phase. We need an official AYAMMM Playtest Team!

Yeah that was me when you walked into the room with the canons shooting down, that wiggles should activate a p switch that locks you in and keeps the big monty locked in until the timer runs out so you have to cannon dodge. When you walked in and it didn’t activate I was a little sad as it took so long to play test and when I was done it always activated for me :fp:

Similarly I just knew Jen was going to catch the big fish on his first attempt! Same thing happened in the last competition with the one screen claw machine where Devlin managed to grab the mushroom with his first attempt

I knew it was fairly likely as it happens if you go for the far spot on the second cast, where the first cast is as you move through the door and the screen is still moving into place, but I was just hoping it wouldn't happen. Luckily Jen died and briefly showed it doesn't happen all the time (and I'm glad both game modes got a show on stream).

Wait, if you go through the second door you're telling me you don't always get the fish you need? I replayed it a few times to try and go faster and hit the big fish every time.

No the first door/Game A has multiple fish to catch (and old boots) but only the big fish has a key. The second door/Game B is just the one big green cheep cheep that has to be reeled in.

Its very clever, on my first run I did door A and second door B.

I did find the boot 8-)

I think I might've found cheese or something because I just went into door 2, killed the big green cheep cheep and finished the level. Were you not supposed to do that?

Fishing is all about the experience, taking your time, the glow of the dawn, the line arcing into the water... It's not a race! :P

Going to try and get the Round 6 guidelines out at some point today.

I've had to rework my plans for the sequence of things because one of you arses did something this time which was too close to what the planned guidelines were going to be!

That's intended, you can do either or both. It's supposed to be like a NES game where you have the choice of game type (1984 was the year Nintendo released "Golf") - it seemed more fun that way than forcing the player through one minigame then the other because they can play whatever they prefer. Likewise you only need to catch one fish to finish the level but someone might just want to catch more and the completion goal just works as a counter. I'm pretty sure the fastest route for a speed run is just to do Game B but even working that out I thought might give a little extra layer of routing (my clear check time at least was set that way!)

If it was going to be Mario Pinball can we please just do it anyway? I tried and failed to do pinball for the one screen round but Rula has me thinking up more ideas!

It's not Mario Pinball.

It's Mario Car Pinball
