Love the first part if my new level but unsure it fits all guidlines so a second part needed adding just incase although not sure it this spoils the first part.

gooseberry fool, now I'm worried about my level. It has tracks, but at the moment it's more of a puzzle level than a tricky, tracky platforming level. More about getting items from A to B using tracks, rather than getting Mario from A to B. May need to rethink it a bit.

If its got things on tracks and you can't just straight up ignore all of them I think you're probably fine?

I submitted mine earlier, I made four different thumbnails before just making it a shot from the level :lol:

I had tracks but mario never used them. I didn’t want to change it as I love it and I don’t want to give anything away by asking so made an extra bit to apply with the rules. Having said that the extra bit was a bit boring so I than changed it to the start but then that messed up the second bit so now I’ve wiped it all out and done a nice intro into what is the main bit.

Seems to be all okay now just need to do a few run throughs. I really hope you all like it this week. It’s not too difficult and certainly not that long.

I don't want to discourage people from doing clever or alternate things with tracks, that's all welcome and helps ensure variety in the submissions, but I do think that some element of Mario being required to use tracks for traversal is necessary

I think I’m all sorted now anyway, just to tick that box.

That's my take on the rules. Mario doesn't have to constantly be on a track, but he should have to use them at some point which the level would be impossible to complete if he didn't do so. Like the bullet Bill one, it should be the prominent feature of the course.

It sounds like you're all on track to me.

Course test run’s completed. Knew what I wanted to do from the start, while it’s not what I originally had because of block limitations I am happy with the turnout.

I have a sneaky suspicion about what your level idea might be, looking forward to seeing if I'm right! I might PM Jenuall so I have proof of my guess :lol:

I'm probably way off but this is what happens when there hasn't been a forum Mafia game in a while

I figure it's better not to post level ideas in thread for the round currently being made on the off-chance someone has done something similar and might feel like the reveal on stream is then lessened, so that probably goes double for trying to guess what someone else has made!

I woke up this morning thinking "oh maybe I should have made the level end like this instead" but I think it's probably better most of the time just to get it submitted when it is finished and not overthink it!

Yeah totally, I have gone back in past levels and touched them up only to realise it was probably better the first time.
The issue with the last one was I had already made it and it was suppose to have checkpoints, Bowser was actually a lot harder and I had to make it easier which spoilt the mechanics a little. Is what it is I guess.

Not part of the AYAMMM and also put in the Mario Maker thread but I created a little speed run last night. Thoughts?
