Stupid bastard part limits

I think I only ran into issues with parts limits on a couple of occasions during the last contest, but yeah it's bloody annoying when it happens!

Especially when you're right in the middle of creating something. Its be handy to have a total available number that counts down in the corner of the icon or something. At least then if it shows there's only 50 of something available you may decide to use something else.

What parts do you keep hitting the limits on out of interest? (Say for the last round where it happened if you don't want to give anything away for this one).

The ones I come up against normally are the boss enemies, red coins, doors and pipes - all really low so I kind of have them memorised now. I know the limit of coins placed on tracks is relatively low from my shmup level in the last competition but otherwise I haven't really come up against many limits.

For me it was blocks (pow etc) my tetris level was meant to go on a lot longer but I hit a limitation. Which for the keen eyed people will notice that one of the last blocks to fall didn't contain 4 blocks (not a tetris shape).

Fun fact, when I originally created it, the line and the L shape had 5 in the drop and the first part of the game so I had to go and change everything to make it more authentic. :fp:

Red coins is a classic, which seriously spoiled the Beanstalk exploration as I thought you'd be able to have at least 10 dotted about.

Finished and uploaded my level last night but I'm not submitting just yet in case I have a better idea. I've got 4 level ideas, but I think this is the least likely to be attempted by someone else.

I'm happy with how my level is coming along, I just really hope no one else has picked the same franchise!

I'm glad people are enjoying this set of guidelines, it was one of the first that I thought of but at the same time was one of the ones I was most concerned about including!

I'm still pleased when every now and then I get a notification to say that some randomer has played and/or liked one of my levels, but yeah it's usually pretty rare!

I'd love to know what gets all these levels onto the front page and people ending up with thousands of plays. Probably need to spam big streamers until they play your level and give it some visibility :dread:

Something felt off to me about the round title and I've just realised what it is - "Franchise Homage" contracts to "Fromage"

I expect Jen to try and cheese all the levels
