I’m a Pisces, I take no notice of whatever advice the stars apparently give me, however they do make for a good laugh every now and then.

Bullshit, apart from the day dreamer bit

Meh kind of fits myself, I mean I can’t find a relationship at all so I guess I’m kind of a hopeless romantic, guess the star sign stuff might have a different take on what a hopeless romantic is though? Rather than someone who’s completely inept at it

Who's the other Libra?

My wife's in to star signs and tarot readings etc. I don't understand or subscribe to it, but she seems to get by alright so power to her.

Thought I was Pisces but then there was that BBC article on how the stars have shifted and actually everyone is a different sign to the one they think they are (look it up).

Also I reserve strong disdain for anyone who holds any sincerity with astrology.

I kind of operate under a "to each his own," worldview on it nowadays - as long as it doesn't affect their interpersonal relationships with people(specifically me), I really don't give a strawberry float what other people believe in.

I'm a Libra and I think it's a load of old bollocks.
Jupiter can go and strawberry float itself for all I care.

I'm on the cusp, meaning depending on which definition of dates for all that bollocks you go by, I'm either one of two star signs.

It's such utter gooseberry fool

I've read interesting arguments in favour of new-age belief: essentially, that most people are happier when they have rituals to do, so if it comforts you and especially if it helps connect you with a community, then it's probably doing you more good than harm.

The exception is if it becomes exploitative, like seances or "alternative medicine." Mediums and crystal healers and so on prey on the grieving and sick - in the latter case sometimes preventing them from getting real medical care - so they can get stuffed.

I wouldn't be able to turn off the part of my brain that thinks "this is bollocks" but if I were a bit less of a smug dickhead I could see myself quite enjoying being a witch or something. You've got to admit, hexing your enemies sounds pretty cool.

I remember my girlfriend at the time getting blind drunk one New Year, declaring herself a Witch and then pulling out a deck of Tarot cards and doing readings.

Funnily enough she's now my wife and it was that very night I decided I wanted to marry her.

To be fair the stars in the signs are incinerating constantly.

Similar here: I used to be a Leo and now apparently am (yes!) a Virgo. Two completely different personality types apparently, great aggressive leader turned fussy organiser.

It’s not even the lack of science behind it, it’s the lack of any conceivable link between burning giants millions of miles away and your personality/fate. The Lady is into healing crystals and believes in ghosts and that’s her (wrong) prerogative, but I have pretty much told her straight out that any and all astrology will be treated with the contempt it deserves.

Looking at the poll it seems like most people’s parents were screwing in April, which seems appropriate.

Wow, I didn’t know that. I know it’s all horseshit anyway but it would seem I’m a Libra now.

Apparently I'm a libra. It says here. Reading the description some of it I can relate to, some of it doesn't represent me whatsoever and is utter bollocks. So basically it's like throwing 20 tons of gooseberry fool at a moving vehicle in the wind. Some of it is going to stick to the car, and some of it is going to end up in Skegness.

If other people want to believe in astrology, fair enough, different strokes and that

However I also don't think those people should be allowed to vote
