Well yes, I'm assuming DML knew Qikz wasn't a wolf.

Sorry, my sentence was unclear. You were saying it was obvious Qikz was a villager, I was saying DML kept assuring it was obvious that he, DML, was a villager - not Qikz.

Funny how that worked out for you eh? Maybe you should listen to ol' Qikz next time. Same goes for you PCCD, I don't know if DML was contacting you, but you lost the plot.

It'd be easier to list the people Staydead didn't accuse

Edd came back villager.
DML also came back villager - but we're dubious of him. Could be the alpha.

I just never really acted on the suspicion

When was I supposed to be seered? Was it because of that accursed Rik list?
I wish I had never voted against Rik, and the main reason I did was because I thought it was a bit harsh and almost cheating that he had been caught on PMs before it was disabled. I never thought one way or another if he was actually a wolf :fp:
Then to just jump on DML's band wagon against poor Tomous :fp:
That was a bad day

Enjoyed reading this towards the end. I started during StayDead's reign of terror. I see he hasn't changed...

It seemed quite obvious to me that DML was up to no good, but I didn't experience his hard work earlier on so had an obscured view of his game, which probably made it stand out more. I even found myself wanting to PM one of the players I felt sure was a villager to say as much  I didn't, of course.

I would love to get involved again in a future game. Unfortunately, I simply wouldn't be able to do it justice. Curse the real world :x.

Just sign up anyway, the worst that can happen is you get killed off for being inactive.

I thought I was going to have no time for this game as we are short staffed at work so I've been working longer hours and with hardly any breaks, yet still I somehow kept up and then when post counts started getting published I was actually near the top of the list.

I think one idea that could be put under consideration would be some sort of culling if people don't post within the thread for a certain amount of time, say three days or so. I understand it's difficult for some people to contribute regularly due to work and other issues outside the game, but in that sort of instance, it has to be questioned whether they're worth keeping in the game IMO.

The risk is being made a wolf and letting the pack down. I also would stand no chance of being involved in mayoral elections during the week.

Yeah something like killing off the three least active players after one week would help keep things moving nicely. As it is villagers don't want to waste lynchs on people who aren't playing and wolves can just sit back and do nothing.

It does lead to a wolf advantage too, since they're able to keep killing actives, until the only people left are not posting anymore.

Songwriter for instance didn't post once. How are we supposed to work out if someones a wolf when they don't even post in the thread? Blind luck? I know it's in the game in it's current form, but it's kinda unfair.

You work out someone like Songwriter is a wolf when the alpha mercilessly decides to throw him under the bus for the greater good.

Pacman proved that they knew about Songwriter before DML (in the thread anyway)!

Oh I couldn't mention this during the game as it may have risked compromising you, but you actually played in Tiarny's first AYA*? game: Are You A Bluehat. So this wasn't your first game. :shifty:

Filthy liar, lynch 'im boys!

how anyone who was adamant we didn't follow up on the riksilver list and can then say with a straight face that they had suspicions of DML being the alpha

And yet whenever someone suggests lynching inactives it always gets shot down with things like "when have wolves ever hidden as inactives"

These games always decline because wolves generally target the active players (makes sense since it leaves people who don't vote on mayor and gives wolves complete control of game)

By reducing the inactives it prevents hiding places and also cuts out the players who could be left but don't contribute.

I still don't understand why people sign up then don't play at all.

Surely you must know whether it's worthwhile for you to sign or not?

It wastes everybody else's time and I hate when people do it.
