There's no point me being lynched.
Just because a villager died on my watch, doesn't make me a wolf. Especially on the first day.

I'm voting for pancake for mayor for today.

I want to see this Dblock thing played out but I don't want to have to take responsibility for it. That's why I urge everyone to vote for Dblock while I vote for someone sensible.

Can't say.

I might get lynched.

Vote for me and watch a wolf get caught.

I'll vote for Pancake also

Mini-E - Riksilver and one other
PPM , Errkal, Zellery, Chris, Dandy Kong, Moggy (6)

BID0 - LewisD and Ricksilver
no votes (0)

Dblock - "Vote for me and the wolves will get it"
Hank Scorpio (1)

Pancake - Kanbei and jiggles
Dan, LewisD, Rhubarb (3)

Do we get clues from Drumstick at some point or are the mayoral votes all we have to go on?

I think I'll vote for Mini-E this time around,

Mini-E - Riksilver and one other
PPM , Errkal, Zellery, Chris, Dandy Kong, Moggy, Lagamorph (7)

BID0 - LewisD and Ricksilver
no votes (0)

Dblock - "Vote for me and the wolves will get it"
Hank Scorpio (1)

Pancake - Kanbei and jiggles
Dan, LewisD, Rhubarb (3)

As tempting as it is to vote for Dblock.

Next time though I think I'm going to need both potentials stated in advance rather than just "one other" as we've had so far. Only reason I'm not voting for BID0 or Pancake is because I haven't really seen good arguments for why they've got their choices.

Nope.

Not how the game works and you know it. Give us names and we'll vote for you, then you can't get lynched as you'll be mayor.

Mini-E - Riksilver and one other
PPM , Errkal, Zellery, Chris, Dandy Kong, Moggy, furiosum , mic, Lagamorph (9)

BID0 - LewisD and Ricksilver
no votes (0)

Dblock - "Vote for me and the wolves will get it"
Hank Scorpio (1)

Pancake - Kanbei and jiggles
Dan, LewisD, Rhubarb (3)

It is not difficult to quote the correct and most recent voting post. If one person quotes the wrong one (Rhubarb in this case) then following people who quote the most recent one also end up being incorrect (Laga).

Not a fan of all this "and one other" business, would rather know who mayors will choose in advance. Even if someone wants to choose a random pls choose the random before being elected.

You can't say, but you did earlier?

Mark my words at least 2 of them are wolves, or i'll leave this forum for good.

Can a mod put this in the opening post so that we remember to ban Dblock if at least 2 of those names are not wolves?

Some food for thought for anyone interested...

How random is random on your music player?

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-31302312

Dave Lee, BBC News wrote:
The fact is that the human brain, for all its brilliance, is a sucker for coincidences. And more importantly, given the topic of this article, the brain is also keen to believe that something not happening for a long time makes it more likely to happen next time.

The theory is known as the Gambler's Fallacy or the Monte Carlo Fallacy, owing to one memorable night in 1913 when the roulette ball fell on black 26 times in a row.

Players at the table were betting huge amounts in disbelief, expecting the normal "random" order of the world to be set right with each spin.

The very foundations of the billion-dollar casinos of Las Vegas are built on the fallacy. There is a pernickety bit of our brain that thinks if we did not win the last five hands of blackjack we are surely going to get lucky when the next hand is dealt.

When applied to how songs pop up on our music players, the fallacy means we, for some reason, think it less random when two similar songs play.

It is a lack of uniform distribution that throws us off, writes Martin Fiedler - a programmer who describes himself as an "average nerd".

Consider a playlist of 32 songs, he says, split almost evenly into three genres - 10 of genre A and 11 each of genre B and C.

A truly random playlist might spit out something like this: AACBBCBACABBCCACCCCABBACBACABABB

It is random, but it sure will not feel like it - and that block of four Cs in the middle there might be annoying. Particularly if they are jazz.

"This example, short as it is, already exhibits the two main problems of random shuffle algorithms," writes Mr Fielder.

"The first one is the burst of four adjacent C's in the middle of the sequence, the second one is the lack of B's in that area (there's no B for 8 slots, which is quarter of the whole sequence!)."

Do we get clues from Drumstick at some point or are the mayoral votes all we have to go on?

No clues apart from being able to go back through these votes and see who supported who. That's why "random" or "one other" is completely useless to us. Pick a random person by all means, but do so before you run for mayor and declare who you want to see at the noose.

Because Mini-E has only picked one person, we can't come back to today's votes in the future and get the maximum amount of information from them (who supported him/who didn't)

I've chosen to put up Riksilver for the same reasons as Mini-E (being in the private messages section of the website for a long time when roles were sent out) and LewisD as the second person for being the mayor from the previous day and not getting a wolf kill. I've also stated should I be mayor today, I am happy to be one of the two people on the chopping block tomorrow.
