Replace Qikz with Somebody Else's Problem, he's a wolf.

Is their a suitable alternative though? Clearly my low post choices I have posted have 0 traction, the next highest voted, has DML as the top choice

This public vote is a great opportunity to expose wolves. But now Songwriter has been fingered, everyone is going to have to vote for songwriter. This acts to protect any possible exposure of wolves. This is a waste of the public vote.

DML, I think you should swap Ianf for Nun, let's tie up that thread while we've got the double lynch.

I actually think we should swap out Songwriter. And the others for that matter. I still think we should go through the riksilver list as Shadow has said. But I also think DML has to be mayor today. Songwriter can be lynched tomorrow. Theres no rush for him. However there is a rush for the public vote.

I don't understand the reasoning behind ignoring a possible lead. If DML is right then we kill a wolf. Why would we leave them alive when we could kill one? Every wolf alive adds to their possivle kill count as we can only lynch one a day.

The reason everyone is voting for DML is so we can lynch songwriter, swapping him out would be nuts and get us nowhere.

The public vote doesn't really matter as the wolves know that everyone can see their vote, so they aren't going to get out of line.

You say that, but if one or two of my candidates were wolves, then they'd probably have to vote as I imagine it'd be a close vote between those two.

With DML's choices we're all going to vote songwriter then one of SD or Ian will get it on just a couple of votes, we can't learn anything from that.

Unless SD or Ian is a wolf.

I was actually thinking about that point just now - how to lure the wolves out with a public vote.

You are right in that they could sacrifice Songwriter of public opinion is strongly behind him going. They will just vote for him to hide amongst the popular vote.

Likewise, if SD is there I guess then can hide behind the popular opinion of him needing to go (well, that was the opinion yesterday though things have calmed down).

It would be risky, but we could just put three lesser-known names, which have perhaps not had public scrutiny. Crucially, we then make sure no-one gets involved into a debate over why one particularly candidate should go - if there seems to be a big consensus the wolves will follow that so as not to stand out.

What you want is a wolf to be thrown in with two others and a tight vote produced. This way, the wolves can't join in any big consensus and can't necessarily sacrifice one of their own. A tight vote would encourage them to try and save their fellow wolf, rather than possibly give up someone in a no-win situation like songwriter.

The flaws with this approach is that the wolves know their votes are being made public in advance. We would also need to pick names with no real "history" of mass accusations in this thread. The drawback here is we could pick three villagers. The other point is that with no discussion on this thread, the real villager vote would potentially split too, and would make the wolves harder to see. A lot would hinge on getting another wolf in there, with two others who have also not really been accused wholesale so far.

If we got a wolf in there, even with the villager vote being split we could just still use the information from a public vote.

I agree that we should lynch Songwriter, but its unfortunate that this information has come up on the day of a public vote. The public vote could give us some interesting information. But with Songwriter getting lynched today, any information that we get will limited, and perhaps more easily controlled by the wolves.

I didn't want to get involved but having me lynched doesn't make any sense. I'm a villager and I've done what people have asked. Surely the best thing to do I put in three people we believe are wolves. Nobody doubts that I'm a villager.

If in some guess work I have more than one wolf on my list, the only logical way the wolves can get me killed us through a lynch as it'd be too suspicious otherwise. Pacman had his ultimate trust in me and I thank him for that. Please don't undo his hard work by killing a basically confirmed villager in the lynch.

On a similar note I dont think you should be in the public vote either. I dont think youre a wolf, I think youre just a very enthusiastic, committed and invested player of the game. But a wolf could hide behind voting for you because there is a big consensus that youre too much of a distraction in the game.

Great, nice of you to engage in the discussion about other potential cadidates DML.

I think DML's played this really badly. Not saying I think he's a wolf, like - assuming Songwriter is a wolf then obviously he isn't. But even from an attempted objective standpoint it's obvious he could have picked another two, better, candidates.

I've had no suspicion leveled at me before this, apart from SD throwing my name out there just because I complained about his shitty posting style, and there were other loose ends that could have been tied up while in the public vote so we could've seen which way votes were going.

I'd like to think I've been an active contributer to this game and have made some helpful suggestions and posts and would love to continue to do so (and not just because I'm unemployed and doing strawberry float all else ).

SD - you're not a 'basically confirmed villager' at all, just your posts haven't completely reeked of being wolfy in nature. They've been a bit weird but I think that might just be you in forum games, I'm not sure. Either way I will of course be voting for Qikz and Songwriter. How do we go about this? Post in thread?

I think mcj's plan is an interesting one. Putting in three unknowns could also just cause the wolves to randomly vote, but if we got lucky, as was said, then it would be potentially very insightful.

Can't help but regret my vote now. I wish the idea had came up earlier, but it seems we are now locked in to our fate.
