I still don't understand this John thing, Mockmaster.

All will become clear, I just have to keep on the trail for now. Ok JohnnyK, I just need to know, does your surname begin with S? All I need is a yes or no. PM if you want.

I did when I ran for mayor. Luckily by then the game was as good as won so it didn't matter and no one was around to pick it up.

Roonmastor wrote:For the record, I admit that the Wolves bested the Humans in this game. The only thing I am moaning about was the set up of the game itself.

In a basic game, there is no way in hell I'd back Hexx for Mayorship. Nice guy, always wrong about who is a wolf. Poor at information gathering. More bothered about own survival than good of the humans.
Then there is Denster. He imprisoned me on night one and shot one of our own just to prove a point. Again, nice bloke, wouldn't have him as Captain if I could choose anyone.

In fact, here is another point about what killed the game with bridge rules. Those who try to become mayor are always good people to analyse, especially as wolves trying to control the game. A mayor's actions can prove who is trustworthy and who isn't. But only seven or so people could come forward and become mayor. I had decided that Hexx, Denster and Eighty were humans of their mayorships alone in three days. But for the next nine there was no new information of that sort because no-one else was eligible or present to be a mayor. So I hit a wall. I bet a number of others did too. At this point, we really do have to rely on out seers. We had two, not three. That could have cost us as many as twelve seer attempts over the course of the Bridge and an additional 'power' coalition that could be formed around him.

The wolves did what they had to do. They won the game as it was set out, but the game was set against the humans, even if it doesn't seem so on the surface.

Partly my fault. I was really suspicious of you and asked him to stick you in. :fp:

The only thing I see is by the time it got to the stage where I was one of the last humans active alive, the wolves controlled all the votes. As far as I can remember it was me and Dalax at one stage, against almost all of the wolves. I was taken like a sheep and herded into the pen of failure.

I apologise for that.

Good work wolves, you got me. Didn't help RandomHero for pointing the finger at me for no reason though.

I'm sorry, but from as far as I could tell, you did nothing. You said nothing in the thread, you didn't try to get in touch with me out of the thread to prove your innocence and every post by you seemed to contribute nothing to the human cause. Poncho (an experienced player) posted early on about Wolf styles - how they post, how they think to stay under the radar. You actually posted exactly like how he described, to be fair if you were a wolf another wolf would have seen the post and told you not to do it, but every post followed the "Been busy all night, sad to see so and so has been killed, come on us humans, lets get us a wolf". Roonmaster and Drawlight* agreed for goodness sake, it was not just my own opinion.

Also, the one day I tried to get us humans back into the game, I proposed you in my group for the lynch. But when it came down to what I wanted to do, you were not my first priority and I asked other people for suggestions because it was only me who was suspicious of you. Sadly, there were not enough active humans, and two of them (who were two of the most active) would have had to be sacrificed (to be sure a wolf was got) so they were not going to support me.

I am sorry you were human, but all you actually needed to do was send me a picture of your inbox/sent messages, if you were a wolf I assume there would be some PMs to other wolves in there, if you were telling the truth (which you were), there would be nothing. All you did was get very defensive (overly so**), just like Rog and Krafty did when they were half accused by me.

Also, I was being selfish, I thought I had made a really good spot on my first game and wanted you lynched to satisfy my own curiosity. And if you were a wolf I would have made a name for myself, which I think I really should have in this game seeing as I did find out loads of wolves in one day just by paying attention (and getting some time free at uni to think about it), too bad the wolves controlled the thread.

*I spotted one of your early posts, Roonmaster said (something like) "good spot, lets keep an eye on him", after a couple of posts Drawlight said (something like) "he is your best bet for a wolf, I will support you if you decide to go for him today"

**this is weird, you were human, so it was obviously a very human reaction to being accused, so this last point is a bit null.

Anyway, I could have turned this round for the humans, I just didn't think it through. I was too busy spotting all the wolves and accusing them than being diplomatic to get myself to be mayor. Because originally I was being supported for mayor by Henke! But then I had to announce to the thread how FatDaz's posts had made me suspicious of Henke, so all support was removed. So I was dead as soon as I wasn't mayor, to be fair, there were barely enough active humans at that point to make the double lynch count anyway.

I agree that the humans shot themselves in the foot by not getting rid of the inactives (something I advocated very early on), I also know that you did what you di to win the game and that this had to be your primary goal. However in being so ruthless about it a lot of the enjoyment was sucked out of AYAW 5 and that was entirely down to you guys.

That's like...not lynching people you're certain are wolves because it would ruin the game dynamic.

Considering my usernames, I'd say that's unlikely.

Let's just say I'm on a trail. And I'm getting closer. But it's a journey I must travel alone, until I find who I'm looking for.

I would've done more but just wanted to keep my head down so that I wouldn't be killed by the wolves. If everyone had been very active then I would also have been.

I'm guessing it will be about people (pirates?) murdering crew members on board El Boat of Goat. And then the suspects being forced to walk the plank. Someone called Billy will be involved too.

I apologise for not being active for much of the game. Thi was down to the fact that I actually didn't have the internet for a very long time. I got on when I could though, and I'm looking forward to the next AYAW.

Posting in a 400 page thread.
