1.Any players with a special role will be sent a message confirming that they have been selected. This time, there will be no messages for players who are Villagers. There are other 'special roles' which may be kept secret for now, but fundamentally you are on either the side of the good guys and the uninformed majority (The Humans) or the bad guys and the informed minority (The Werewolves). The Werewolves will know who all the other wolves are, but the Humans
will have no idea for definite who is innocent and who is a bloodthirsty wolf.
The roles are as follows -
Villager - A normal uninfected human, the most common in the game. Has no special powers, but has the power of humanity and democracy on his side to oust werewolves through lynch votes every night.
Seer - A psychic human, who once a night can 'seer' individuals to see what their identity is. This works in almost all cases. The Seers are the most powerful weapon against the pack, and must be kept alive at almost all costs.
Other Roles - ???
----------------------
Werewolf - The aim of the game for the wolves is simply to kill enough Humans to be able to overwhelm the ship. Can communicate with other wolves in secret freely, and hunt at 'night'.
Alpha Wolf - the biggest and baddest of all the wolves, and leader of 'The Pack'.
Other Roles - ???1a. The game starts with a night phase, where the wolves perform their first hunt. After this, the first day phase begins. This cycle continues throughout the game - day to night, night to day. The collective lynch in the day, wolves hunt and special roles kill at night.
1b. All decisions based on who is what are totally RANDOM, and are not selected deliberately, and as such this should not influence your decision on who you think 'DML would select'.
2. Once you have died, you cannot win. There is no victory in death for a human. However, if you are a wolf and you die, you can win if the Pack win at the end. Once dead and out of the game, you may no longer communicate with players in the game and cannot post in the thread. Telling secrets to other dead players is also massively frowned upon, especially werewolves as this can ruin the game.
3. Sharing of your PM, via any method is absolutely BANNED. No-one can see your private message stating your identity by you. Faking of PMs to post in the thread or otherwise is also outright banned. Anyone ignoring these rules will be removed from the game.
4. Every day, a Mayor must be selected. That Mayor must be selected by a general concensus in the thread. The Mayor will make the main decision of the day, and will be immune to Wolf kills that night. Once elected, the Mayor will select two prisoners to send to Bloodbath County Jail and the public then vote via PM to myself who they think should be 'lynched'. The player with the most votes and is lynched - and out of the game.
5. Every night, the werewolves can hunt. On the first night, they shall hunt just one player, but after that its THREE kills a night. If a werewolf is killed, its down to two kills a night, and if three are killed, its down to just ONE kill a night. If the Alpha Wolf dies, the Wolves will not kill due a 'night of mourning' and will from then on be able to only kill one player every night.
6. Players can be killed and thrown out of the game for cheating, being inactive or bending the rules of the game unfairly - or for spamming. Players who are dead and mess with the game may result in players from their own teams being killed. You have been warned.
7. I withhold the right as judge, jury and executioner to change the game/rules/elimiantions as I see fit, but always know that I make my decision based on what best for the game, and always consider that I know more about the game from my standpoint then you may know yourself. For that reason, the judges decision is final!
8. There are NO death posts of any kind. No *dies*, no information, no nothing. No messages or message chains to be released on your behalf after death. I also request all players upon death respect the game and do not contact players still in the game about the game. I can't police this, but if everyone does abide by that rule, then we'll have a better game.
9. This game has zero affiliation with any professional projects I have worked on.
For the Village team to win - the Village must, using democracy and more desperate means destroy all the werewolves in the Village. Any survivors after clearing this condition will win the game.
For the Werewolf team, they must overwhelm the village by using a combination of misdirection through day, and hunting by night to bring down the population low enough so that they outnumber the humans and can overthrow.
I can tell you at the start of the game there are...
40 PLAYERS
A PACK OF 4 WEREWOLVES (INCLUDING ONE ALPHA WOLF)
1 SEER
AND SOME OTHER ROLES
Tomorrow night, at 10pm - the first NIGHT PHASE will begin. At that time, the result of the first werewolf hunt of the game will be announced. Once that has been completed and announced, the game starts properly, launching into the first day phase, and then night phase (so on and so forth), all in real time.
Each day will see the election of a new Mayor, that Mayor select two candidates for lynching, a private vote by the masses for who to lynch.
Each night will see the wolves hunt, and any potential night roles out there trigger, including the seer. The Seer is super important, as there is only ONE at the villages disposal. Lose the Seer, and the game will veer strongly to the wolves. PROTECT THEM AT ALL COSTS.
11. In the past, Seers have been able to check each night for the name of a players role.
This is now no longer in play.
Now, if a seer seers someone, it will be green for the Village team, and red for the Werewolf team. NO OTHER ROLE INFORMATION WILL BE PROVIDED.
So if you were planning to gather up all those special roles and make some kind of protection circle, bad luck. You won't know for certain ANYONES role.
12. Any player who fails to post in this thread one time in three consecutive days will be culled.
13.
This game will be entirely shaped by the decree of these 16 squares. They could quite literally seal your fate in the game.
There are 16 rules in this game ON TOP of the rules you have already been made aware of. They are the
LAWS and the
GAMECHANGERS.The top numbers - 1-8 are known as the
LAWS. These are rules that
ARE CURRENTLY IN PLAY AND WILL AFFECT THE GAME BUT REMAIN A MYSTERY.The bottom numbers, numbers 9 - 16 are the
GAMECHANGERS. These rules are NOT CURRENTLY in place, but can be ADDED and from that point onwards WILL affect the game.
Each day, a new Mayor will be selected. They will be tasked with doing two things.
They will decide the two candidates that will go to prison that day. These two candidates will be up for the lynch vote that will be voted for by everyone. Prisoners AND The Mayor CANNOT vote in this vote.
They will pick a number, either choosing to reveal one of the games current eight laws OR instead opt to add a gamechanger to the game.
On the night of being Mayor, the Mayor will be safely stowed away in the Mayors Quarters and
will be SAFE from any werewolf attacks or night roles. At the end of each day, firstly the result of the lynch vote will be announced and THEN afterwards, the current LAW or brand new GAMECHANGER will be revealed to all.Basically all the laws, and certainly all the gamechangers are currently unknown to everyone in the game.
The gamechangers could help the Village, the wolves, neither or both.
So what will you do? Find out more about how this game works for certain? Or take the risk on changing the game up, hoping to uncover something helpful for the village?
Either way, there will never be a boring evening again. Every day will have new suprises. Its like a deadly advent calendar.
13. Mayor - players can be Mayor once and once only. Every day you are to pick a new Mayor. There may well be future rules about Mayors, as with everything in the game.
14. Laws - Laws are unknown to all players in the game, including werewolves. There is only one rule that one role is aware of already for full transparency. Gamechangers are unknown to all players. The numbers on the Laws and Gamechangers decree can be invoked in any order.
15. The GAMECHANGERS do not alter the LAWS.
16. Mayors, Prisoners and Guests of the Mayor cannot be targeted by Night Roles, but can target others (if free from prison).
Please ask if you want anything further clarified.
