Arrested Development - Renewed for Season 5!

Watched the first couple of episodes a couple of weeks back and enjoyed it, will watch more when I get the time. Netflix must have done amazingly well to be able to fund things like this.

Earlier this month, word broke that Netflix’s upcoming revival of “Arrested Development” would have more than the ten episodes originally promised. And now we know exactly when the series will hit.

Fox briefly posted the 14 episode names and the premiere date of May 4th, 2013 on their press website before quickly taking it down.

Each episode of the fourth season has the name of the central character that it will follow. Michael Bluth (Jason Bateman), Gob (Will Arnett), Lindsay Fünke (Portia de Rossi), George Michael Bluth (Michael Cera) and George Bluth Sr. (Jeffrey Tambor) will each get two spotlight episodes, while Tobias Fünke (David Cross), Maeby Fünke (Alia Shawkat) Buster Bluth (Tony Hale) and Lucille Bluth (Jessica Walter) will each get a single episode.

Because Netflix will premiere the entire season on a single day, fans will be able to watch “Arrested Development” in any order that they choose. However, the official episode order is listed below:

1: Michael 1
2: Michael 2
3: George Sr. 1
4: George Sr. 2
5: Lindsay 1
6: Lindsay 2
7: Tobias
8: Gob 1
9: Maeby
10: Lucille
11: Buster
12: George Michael 1

I think I'll just stick to the official episode order when it comes out.

Why on earth would you want to watch them in anything other than the actual order? Surely watching the later ones wouldn't make any sense? Plus when it comes to shows that build on the jokes and references of previous episodes, AD is king.

Yeah, one Tobias episode* is bizarre. I thought I wasn't alone in having him down as my favourite character.

I assume the actors with 2 spotlight episodes have a busy schedule, so they will try to cram in their story arcs in just a couple of episodes while the actors with only one spotlight will appear on almost every episode and have their arcs stretched out.

Watching through this again for the fourth time and by the second series Maebe is actually a very gooseberry fool character.

Still, practically jizzing myself for this new season. :mrgreen:
