Bloody loved the new season, starts off slow but really gets going, loved the whole interconnected aspect of each episode, very clever and reminded me of House of Cards, both shows flourished with Netflix ability to release every episode in one go.

Tobias remains my favourite character. Some of the lines he gets are just brilliant..

Daddy needs to get his rocks off.

Fun fact: The tramp who gives Tobias cease and desist papers is directing the new Fantastic Four reboot.

Finally finished S4...what the hell at that ending o_o

What a weird, weird season. It certainly had many great moments, but;

A) I don't think the new format worked out that well

B) A large amount of episodes left me completely stone faced

C) The weirdly dark tone it took just led to things being more uncomfortable than funny

Neither a complete success or disaster then, but this is easily the weakest season.

How long is this meant to take place after the third season?

Thank strawberry float for that, although I think bringing Steve Holt back was a mistake.

It's supposed to be real-time: however much time has passed since the last series is the amount of time that's passed for the characters at Cinco.

Been watching the first series, I am enjoying it. I wouldn't say its a laugh out loud comedy...I'd just say it was....'nice.'

Just noticed that when Rita is sitting on the "Wee Britain" bench, she's covering up some letters so it reads

"Wee Br__ain"

This show is just so good.

There's quite a few of them. Keep your eyes peeled at pretty much every point a character sits on a bench.

Managed to drag myself through to the end of the fourth season, and I really didn't like it at all. It just didn't feel right, and I probably laughed about twice during the whole run.

Yeah, after watching the first season again it goes to show how much of a noble failure season 4 was. The wit was still there, but most of it was used on the Rashomon type replaying of scenes from different angles. If they'd simply written another normal, linear series it could have been every bit as good as the first 3. As it was, it was a bit repetitive and the jokes didn't land nearly as often.

Just finished season 4 yesterday. Rubbish ending if that was the final episode, would have been nice to have concluded things.
I don't think it worked that well, focusing each episode on a different character.

Yes?

It was a nice idea, and doing something different is commendable. It reminded me of The League of Gentleman’s third series as that too broke away from the same old structure and wasn't always better off for it but did have a fresh feeling. Thought the ending was fine, no need to spell everything out for us. I’ll probably enjoy the whole thing a lot more on a second watching though.

They did it out of necessity. Due to scheduling conflicts they couldn't get all the cast members together at the same time, hence the structure. I'm not necessarily saying this is an excuse, but there is a reason for it. I'm sure if they could they'd stick to keeping the whole cast together.
