Post your favourite art from games, like one of those threads where you post favourite game music or whatever.

Asura's Wrath has some beautiful art. A touch I really liked was that you can use all of these unlockable pieces of concept art/CGI models/illustrations as loading screens. It doesn't necessarily serve a purpose but I enjoyed being able to view some preferred pieces in between action scenes:

The artwork for pretty much all the Steins;Gate boxes are incredible but I especially love the original for the PS3/360

and the artwork for the sequels boxes.

For me, Oliver Frey stands as the king of videogame artwork. His work, particularly for the magazines Crash and Zzap! 64, brought thrills and excitement to some very basic 8-bit game premises.

Zzap! 64 Issue 04 - August 1985 - "Beach Head II"

EDIT: Colt, I love those pics. Asura's Wrath

He certainly did. Oli Frey did loads of covers (and internal artwork) for the old Newsfield videogame magazines, and plenty of other non-gaming mags too. His book, "The Fantasy Art of Oliver Frey", is well worth a look (and read) through.

Just added that to my Christmas wish list. 8-)

Cheers for the link.
