Could have been a lot worse, they basically gifted us two wickets. Could also have been a lot better, far too many runs conceded.

Feels like a pretty evenly balanced test match at the moment. Obvs England have got to 23-4 yet in their reply.

Max batting points for New Zealand, for four wickets down. This is woeful.

Apparently Latham wanted to bowl too.

Aside from Crawley getting out the same way he always gets out, that's a decent batting performance from Lees and Pope. Hopefully more tomorrow.

Mitchell dropped both of them so I'm less inclined to be as positive, but they're still at the crease which is all that counts.

I think this is less of a problem if we take early wickets in the NZ innings. It would have been nice to have a lead but if wickets tumbling puts doubt in their batsman's mind then it might set up the win.

I think it's fine - the pressure is all on New Zealand - England cannot lose the game, but the kiwis certainly can.

England knock them over for under 250 and then get skittled chasing. We have seen it before.
