Was all this pitch controversy India being dicks or has it be blown out of proportion?

I was supporting the Aussies in the final because of it, but they're smug bastards so it didn't feel great.

15 wickets on Day 1 at the Mirpur dustbowl.

Bangladesh's Mushfiqur Rahim became only the second Test batter in history to be dismissed for obstructing the field on the opening day of the second Test against New Zealand in Dhaka.

Mushfiqur, 36, handled the ball as it bounced away from him while defending a delivery from Kyle Jamieson.

He was then given out following an appeal by New Zealand.

England's Len Hutton is the only other batter to be dismissed for obstructing the field in Test cricket.

England pick uncapped 20-year-old Shoaib Bashir in Test squad for India

Shoaib Bashir, the 20-year-old Somerset offspinner with 10 wickets in his first-class career, has been named in England's 16-man squad to tour India for a five-match Test series in early 2024. He is one of three uncapped players included along with left-arm spinner Tom Hartley and fast bowler Gus Atkinson, who have both represented England in limited-overs cricket.

I am sure that this will work out well, as it usually does when we take these bolters to the sub-continent.

Was looking forward to a bit of TMS/ABC this morning but with Warner getting a ton and the Aussies going well then I think I'll give it a miss.

I'm quite disappointed we aren't getting radii commentary of the England game on TMS. Particularly as they're doing text commentary.

India managed to score 400+ on an absolute bunsen burner so there is no reason why we can't as well. :shifty:

I think they'll need rain then as there's a long way to go in that match.

Have you seen the Tom Curran footage from the BBL? Has he lost his mind? What was he trying to prove?
