That's 1-0 Australia already :fp: Good thinking to get a good night sleep from 1am after excellent bowling bringing no wickets and the kookaburra being dead after 15 overs!!!

Stayed up for the first session, it was just frustrating seeing us get so close each time. We just need to play a good batting game, if we can see out day 4 still in the crease then we may have a chance getting something.

Headingly 1981 again. BELIEVE. Who's our Botham?

In all seriousness, the England of old would collapse for between 100 and 150. This is a massive test of how far we've come. Time will tell.

As i fear, they once again set the scene in game one. They blew away out batsmen , they've show up out bowlers.

It's going to be 5-0 again isn't it.

No. We always suck in the first test of an ashes series. it's tradition.

Keep the faith.

Normally though that's a lack of warm-up matches going into it.

We're supposed to be well prepared this time. Doesn't make any dfference. Has to be said Aussie got bloody lucky with that partnerhip. Could easily have been 300 all out or less.

I just can't help but be pessimistic when it comes to England playing in Australia. At least in the past we could say Warne & Mcgrath were two of the greats, but Siddle etc? :fp:

Really good start to the second innings. The pace is exactly what England need right now; Very, very, very slow. England will play well and Australia will induce England to take shots, but so far Strauss has done well enough to keep it safe.

All is not lost.
