Also how tense was the end of that women's ODI?!

Also, Dom Sibley finishing the day on 207 not out. :datass:

So who plays today? Roy and Archer are supposedly both fit but does Moeen get a sniff if it's a pitch that'll take spin?

I’ve said it before, but I would actually rest Archer. They won’t though.

No.

Their best team is Roy, Bairstow, Root, Morgan, Stokes, Buttler, Woakes, Plunkett, Rashid, Archer, Wood.

No. I don't think Moeen's form justifies his place. If the pitch starts to turn just let Root bowl a few overs. I'd rather have strength in batting at the mo, and to be honest we should have enough for New Zealand in that respect.

All England's pace bowlers have contributed so there isn't an easy drop if they wanted to get Moeen in there. My first thought was Wood as I didn't think he'd played that well but he's our 2nd highest wicket taker. Plunkett is essential for those mid-game overs and Woakes has contributed a stack with the ball and in the field. Not convinced by Root's 'spin' so it'll have to be just one spinner.

To be honest even if I rested Archer I’d play Curran. Moe has in the past contributed with the bat but that side of things has really dropped off.

It’s a shame because I love Moe. He’s my second favourite player.

It needs to get back on the rails first! No, Mark Wood’s top. Bowls fast, has an imaginary horse, comes up with Barmy Army songs.

Laura Woolvardt and Nat Sciver are also up there. I struggle with a fifth.

That said... might that solve some otherwise difficult decisions? Woakes Broad Archer Stokes Leach looks alright to me.

No Wood?

Don’t ask me difficult questions. :( I wouldn’t necessarily have Moe either. I’d play Wood overseas mind. As for the why, he’s got some form and fracking pace in recent times, but with one 90mph bowler already and given his past performance and his tendency to break down, he just feels like a tiny bit of a liability over five whole days. Love him though.

Looks like Wednesday Addams in her older photos., plays like Trott and I’ve got a soft spot for a grafter, perverse average, smart enough to do a medical degree, and started playing cricket and playing well at 18 like some ridiculous wunderkind. Everyone’s got a random favourite, she’s mine.

The whole ‘no Lockie Ferguson’ is working out okay for England. I love that Neesham’s still somehow managed to pick up a wicket though.

If Root gets out of this that might not be the worst thing in the world either. Shame he’s burned the review though.

Not sure why he reviewed it unless he thought it might get called a wide for height?
