It's not likely but it could happen. Them batting first is the fun option; them chasing (they will inevitably bowl Afghanistan out for 230 max.) is the safe one.

Should we be concerned that England couldn’t bowl them out in 50 overs? I know they didn’t score well, but still...

No, because Afghanistan recognised they would never be able to chase that total and instead decided to just try and bat the 50 overs.

Plus, I do reckon Morgan decided to give the struggling Rashid some more overs to get wickets and confidence in. In a real match I reckon Moe and maybe Stokes would have got more.

South Africa seem to have forgotten they're playing a 50 over game.
