Why aren't the side graphics correctly configured to appear on screen?

If Manchester are the originals, but Oval is invincible, does that mean Southern will have to be brave to win?

Hopefully someone realises the on-screen graphics during play are rotten and reconfigures them for future games.

The rest of it is really enjoyable. With a peak audience of 1.6 million yesterday for the women it’s off to a great start.

Codemasters DIRT seems to be the influence.

You see all these kids in the crowd, they need to get a great cricket game on the market again. Brian Lara’s The Hundred, obv.

2.5 million peak for The Hundred yesterday across BBC2 and Sky, making it the most watched cricket match of 2021.

Put sport on free TV and the viewership will go up, who knew?

Out of curiosity, what was the peak viewership during the Channel 4 test series between England and India?

So the England players are going to be in talks with the ECB about whether to take part in this winter's Ashes tour; currently Australia are adamant no family members will be able to enter the country with them, even if they're double jabbed, tested negative and willing to quarantine.

It could be an understrength side, or a mishmash of players travelling over there to play 1 or 2 tests only then travelling back. I guess the same would apply for backup players.

I understand the the positions of both parties here but it's England with all the power. If (some of) the players refuse to go, it'll make a mockery of the series and in terms of cash it's the home teams which primarily benefit from tours, not the visitors.

Some subtle reminders of this to Cricket Australia should be enough to encourage CA to finesse a solution with their government.

strawberry floating Katie Hopkins was allowed in the country but a few partners and kids cannot accompany their elite sportsperson husband/father?

I mean, with English COVID restrictions as they are(n't), I wouldn't let a bunch of Brits into my country.

I wouldn't let strawberry floating Katie Hopkins in either, mind.

This, added to some other stuff over the last few years, has got me thinking about the structure of modern day cricket in general. If Stokes has pretty much burnt out at 30 and been left in a bad state, maybe a discussion needs to be had about how it all works.

Although there was touring back in the day, there was much less intensity around the edges of the sport and things weren't shoehorned in all year round like they are now. Covid's added to it with bio-bubbles, but it was already getting too much I think.

Craig Overton called up in his place. England ready to unleash our battery of right-arm medium-fast vaguely racist bowling all-rounders upon the world.

First test begins tomorrow. I'll probably miss most of it due to the Olympics.
